Oh CCL so sorry work is manic already.
I know we have mentioned before about the division of chores between you and Mr CCL - it appears to me that you do the bulk of the chores while he doesn't. I think you have said before that he does not get up very early as he doesn't start work until lunchtime but could he get up a bit earlier and put the bins out and hoover?
I used to give my DH lists as he just couldn't seem to see what I could see needed doing and he actually liked the lists and being able to tick off what he had done, it got to the point he was adding other stuff just so he could tick it off!!0 -
Evening all :coffee:
Made it :j And worked so hard at work all week that I've managed to get away without bringing anything home with me to do this weekend! :T So whilst it's been utterly manic, it's worth it to know that all my exams are done, marked and my most important books are up to date. Plus I'm planned for next week as well. So 2 and a bit days where I don't even need to think about work  I actually don't feel exhausted today either so may just actually enjoy a bit of telly and crochet tonight.
Bob - I didn't think for a second that you were nagging about the vitamins. I don't sleep well when I'm stressed and work has just been full on this week - more so than I can remember for ages.
EE - I do sometimes leave dh a list of jobs. I can be my own worst enemy in that it's sometimes easier just to do it rather than write him a list and wait. I have to take ds to football tomorrow as it's the first match of the new season and I'm the club secretary now and I need to collect money - so I'll see if I can trade that with dh for a different job.
There is progress on the egging of the house. I decided to ring the police this morning and report it as anti social behaviour because I can't be bothered with it - someone is ringing me back tomorrow. DD thinks that it's someone from her school. She's told me this evening that some people in her year group have been laughing about it, and that they did 3 houses of girls that go to her school in our street. So it's not just us, but I'm definitely not amused.
Nothing else much to report this end. I'm off to see what everyone else has been up to.Not giving up

Boo hiss. I've woken up with a headache. Trying to decide if I'm tired, caffeine deficient or both.
I have been out to training, and reached breaking point with the state of the car. I'm just about to go out and hoover it because it looks bad and smells awful and I can't keep ignoring it
I don't know what has happened today, but I've had 3 parcels of wool delivered. Well. I do. One is from my mam, one is with a magazine subscription and one I may have 'accidentally' ordered. I already have 4 projects on the go and a cupboard full of wool so I really don't need any more. Think I'm actually addicted...
Still dreading the football later (and it's raining which is vile) but I'm doing the right thing for ds at least. Other than that - just plenty of crochet to get on with and relaxing. Not giving up

Hope the headache is now gone. I shouldn't laugh at your smelly car. But I did" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Worse thing is Bob - I've hoovered it and it still smells bad.
Hoping it's not the air con filter already - seems to new to need that doing.
So much for today being relaxing. I was out from half ten until after 5. Shattered now and ready to fall asleep on the sofa.
It was all good though, managed not to spend any money and also managed to get through the football match without too much trauma.

Morning all (just about) :coffee:
Well I had an utterly rubbish sleep last night. Woke up at 4am and just couldn't get back to sleep again. Ended up getting up and coming downstairs for the day. I've dozed for a couple of hours but still feel quite rough. Thankfully today is project pj day. Just tv, crochet and slobbing about to think about.
Obviously there are a couple of things that I just can't ignore - like overflowing recycling, dusty carpets and Mount Everest of washing. But other than that I'm going to crochet my life away, and spend a nice afternoon with dd while the boys go to watch Sunderland lose at football yet again.
Other than that I am babysitting bestie's ds for a couple of hours while she and her dh visit mil in hospital (she had a stroke and isn't doing too well). Prepping for the week ahead food wise etc. And generally enjoying a sunny day and some well deserved (I think) time off from life. Not giving up

Slob day sounds fab CCL - sorry to read you didn't manage a good nights sleep.
Re: car smell - could you sprinkle some bicarb on the carpet and then hoover in a few days and see if that helps?0 -
Busy busy day
I have 10 mins to report in before we go to ds swimming lesson so a very quick but boring check in on my part.
Loved my day off yesterday - wish I could have had another today... Unfortunately not.
Full day of teaching, written a set of reports and done some data analysis. Obtained some industrial bicarbonate to sprinkle in the car (thanks EE) but no time to do it just yet.
Got home, washed dishes, load of washing and ran the hoover round. Got changed and am ready to head out again today.
I don't know if I'm tired/stressed/busy or what, but I'm a bit nostalgic today. Feeling the dread of the big birthday looming and how old and boring I seem to have become. Not that I mind boring - I hate going out and getting drunk and having parties etc. A couple of friends I worked with a few years ago have just had lovely events. One had a baby yesterday, and one sneaked off and got married over half term. Hey, I'm already married, with babies, but it has made me kind of emotional and tearful at how life is going on and I don't know if I'm really doing anything. All normal I expect but weird when I feel like this. Not giving up

Cat, I recognise that feeling. But I remind myself that things always look better when others are doing them. As in seeing people getting married and it's so exciting etc but you know how stressful and expensive weddings are really!" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D
