Spent £15 odd over the week - eeeekkk. I am left with £7.30. Theoretically, it's doable as I have enough in, though freezer running down a bit, or I have another option. I have a £25 M&S voucher, which was a xmas or birthday present, it's quite old, does anyone know if they expire 'pretty please'. I could use that, as I only count money that comes out of my purse and this was a present. Also, my daughter very kindly got me some B12 vitamins, which I need to take to supplement my diet - they were on special offer in Holland & Barrett £13.29 - get the 2nd for a penny (she didn't treat me), so they need to go into the budget, but as I don't need to use them for a few months, I have put them in stores with a price tag on them and will add them onto a budget when they come into use. Decisions, decisions. I'm going to try and see how long I can live out of the fridge & freezer then reassess. Have a lovely weekend everyone.0

I went out today, slowly,slowly.
Farmfoods spent £15 rounded up, lots of fruit and veg (especially strawberries) for ds only 99p and they're great, more yoghurt, porridge pots dd back to school next week lazy choice. Chips and ice cream cones. In case anyone interested they have Albert bartlett oven chips for £1.19 a bag. I deep fried them and they are good, not the cheapest or healthiest option but quite a good deal, 900g bags.0 -
Evening all
I usually manage to work out what people post but this one has me totally stumped :rotfl:
Had a spend in Mr T yesterday = £6.99 (2 kg yoghurt and tru*ia sweetener)
and today was another NSD :j
Hope you all have a frugal Friday

Tinned tomatoes. I deleted and wrote it again, but it obviously changed again. And it did it even when I was trying to reply now! After I had worked out what I was trying to say...:rotfl:
So, last time I posted, I said we expected to spend about ten pounds. Ten, ha. Try sixty
He who thinks he's in charged took us to a farm shop and we got 25kg of potatoes for 30p a kilo rather than the 79p that we usually pay in Aldi. Also got loads and loads of vegetables - so I have a vat of ratatouille ready to be portioned for the freezer.
Also have another steak pie filling for next week when I'm travelling. That will give 8 portions which will be served with some of the potatoes (either chipped or cubed and roasted) and veggies.
Now at 172 for the month of far. And we need milk, and thins...0 -
no spends for 5 days. back on the YS ramage today if i can bear it as its mayhem on sundays or wait to be civilised on monday! have a good sunday. xx0

NSD for us yesterday - a rare but welcome event! But I'll probably have to spend around £20 today on end-of-market fruit & veg, some decent bread & a small vat of olives to add to a "leftovers" lamb tagine & mid-week pizzas - provided DD2 & I can keep our paws off them for that long!
Must "wake" my sourdough starter up & get baking again, on the bread front. I'm really not a fan of supermarket bread, though OH & DS2 prefer it, possibly due to a total inability to handle a breadknife effectively. But "artisan" bread is way too expensive for something I can make quite easily myself...Angie - GC Aug25: £207.73/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)0 -
A spend of £7.34 yesterday in MrM. Mainly on snacks and pop. Very little in the way of real food.
They have pringles on offer for £1
We do weigh out our servings though so these will last a while.
Can you tell that I am trying to justify the spend in my head :rotfl:£36/£240
£5522
One step must start each journey
One word must start each prayer
One hope will raise our spirits
One touch can show you care0
