Just get her one of these ...

Buy two and she can use them as skates.

Marleyboy You Are A Legend!
Marleyboy speaks sense
marleyboy (total legend)
Marleyboy - You are, indeed, a legend.0 -

Crazy. Looks like an accident in Halfords.
Not entirely sold on them myself but the rest of the vehicle is well specified.
I suspect they look worse in pictures than they do in real life.0 -
I servicing/repair costs on the BMW are the issue, have you had quotes from an independent BMW specialist?
Anyway the end result may be a happy used BMW owner somewhere.
Don't forget that the rules on car tax pricing change soon, might affect the purchase timing on the Evoque.0 -
I can't really stop her. I have tried to dissuade her but She has her heart set on one. Sometimes you just have to sit back and go with the flow.
I have talked to the wife about keeping the BMW for a bit longer. It's had a major service that cost around £1500 and the next one is due in two years.0 -
If she wants it and can afford it then she should get it.0

I cant even begin to verbalise how much that statement gets right on my tatas.really she is scraping the tiny 1 series and you are considering putting her in a bus sized vehicle like a evoque?
Maybe it was not your intention but you do realise how utterly sexist that came across.
It's 2016 after all, and the thought that my other half (who's not down trodden by the way) would have any imput on my vehicle of choice would astound not only me but him!
Now i realise some men think they have monopoly on this driving lark, but hello.... welcome to the 21st century.,Fully paid up member of the ignore button club.If it walks like a Duck, quacks like a Duck, it's a Duck.0 -
I have a much simpler prejudice - sole-occupant drivers parking their oversized '4x4' looking things in supermarket car parks and my company car park with narrow bays just not designed for this fashion of vehicle.
Luckily I am still slim/fit enough to squeeze myself into my own car when boxed in by one of these while minding not to scratch either car when opening the door.
There, I've said it now on behalf of anyone else tempted to make the same comment to 'Missus wants an Evoque'.0 -
Have you actually looked at the dimensions above?
An Evoque isn't that big.
This is a free country and people can own and drive whatever vehicle they see fit.0 -
Size is totally deceptive on these types of vehicle, i drive a Juke and its like a reverse Tardis, looks big on the outside yet you cant swing a cat in it.,Fully paid up member of the ignore button club.If it walks like a Duck, quacks like a Duck, it's a Duck.0
