Why on earth would LR fit those ridiculous 'sports style' seats with fakey harness slots and idiotic wheels over tiny brakes like that

Crazy. Looks like an accident in Halfords.

Because they sell like hot cakes :D

If "normal" is the majority, then I guess you and I are "not normal" :D

I can't for the life of me see why anyone would want a crippled 4x4 that is only 2wd, but they sell in droves.

Why you would want bone jarring cotton reel wheels with elastic bands on rather than squishy tall tyres, and the list goes on......;)
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

(except air quality and Medical Science ;))
  • Ask wether a 4 day test drive is possible.
We just bought a Nissan leaf and they were more than happy to lend us one for 4 days to make sure it was a good fit for us.
As it stood it was, so we went ahead and bought one.
Make sure however that she books it for heavy useage dates to maximise her experrience.

The wife has a BMW 1-series. It's about five years old and she bought it on PCP which included servicing. She paid off the balloon payment and then was surprised by the servicing costs when she took it in recently. The car itself probably isn't worth much due to scrapes here and there. She is rubbish at parking.
If the car is paid for, why does it need to be changed?
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

Personal choice, why else. This site may be MSE but people still like to change their cars every now or then, I don't see the need to question their reasons.

The missus wants to change it? There is no reason other than it takes her fancy.

For the same reason that people buy new fitted kitchens when the old one is perfectly serviceable/not worn out ;)

Pity the disgruntled owner of a leaf without a drive should have taken a 4 day trial before purchasing...

really she is scraping the tiny 1 series and you are considering putting her in a bus sized vehicle like a evoque?
