Just realised I have been updating my sig and not actually posting to say hi.
I have had a good christmas,(make personal calendars for the local school) they sell them and m,ake a profit and so do I Hence the boost to my holiday savings over christmas. Will continue to make personalised products over the new year (already had an order for wedding stationary) so well on target for my holiday savings.
 Happy new Year all.

mwahahahahaha - just to add that I've gone and got rid of a load of coppers in the kids school dinner money envelopes. Well - in my defence I expect that as they have gone up by 5p per day to £1.35, they might get a lot of parents needing 5p change!!!!
It also helps me to not have to try and get rid of it by the time it comes to pay for the holiday!Start Date: 27/11/2010
 Padding: Day 42
 Target £8000
 Amount: £562.230

            Excellent, added some more money
 Pint pot = £95.48
 Savings Account 2 = £52.16
 Savings Account 1 = £401.97
 Grand Total = 549.61
I finally got around to paying in a cheque for £38.50, which was from my mum for her half of some panto tickets, and DS1 would have been hockey training today if it hadn't been a bank holiday. I'll be gutted when they go back to school and I'm not able to ferret any money away from their activity money.
Only another 79p and then I will have less to save up, than I have already saved!!! Roll on January pay day.
I did some overtime this weekend so that will be £100 towards the sum, and in Jan or Feb we'll get our payrise backdated, so that should be another £100 or so.Start Date: 27/11/2010
 Padding: Day 42
 Target £8000
 Amount: £562.230

            A further update:
 Savings Account 1 = £52.16
 Savings Account 2 = £ 407.06 (£5.09 paid in from Quidco)
 Pint Pot = £103.54
 Grand Total: £562.76
So I now have officially less to save up, than I have to save.
I've really enjoyed doing this challenge, so I think I seriously might do one to get my £700 A&L Overdraft paid off once I have got the holiday money!
On top of the overtime I did last weekend, I am doing 5 hours tomorrow, and 5 hours on Sunday, and I've done 5.5 hours this week too.Start Date: 27/11/2010
 Padding: Day 42
 Target £8000
 Amount: £562.230

did the cashcade bingo sites from the gambling thread and now have another £100 to add to my account, and my penny jar is almost ready to be emptied so that will probably be another £30 or so.0

hiya everyone, computer broken...again!... so excuse me if i dont post very often.
were still at £750 remaining for our holiday. its due by 14th feb so im freaking out a bit now
weve got £150 coming off my mum for cmas present, so £600 left technically. dh doing yellow pages next month so thats another coupl of hundred quid to come off
apart from that im sending dh 2nd job wages off every week now- around £45/wk until balace due. hopefully that will about cover it.
dh actually going to get around 700-800quid for yellow pages all in all, so i can use more for the holiday if i decide to. will see how much is left by the time its due. also got £20.19 banked plus another £45 + £8 for mystery shops, oh, and a sad little £5 note in my bottom drawer aswell... so another £78.19 altogther. so another £78.19 altogther.
 see you soon guys xxxoxxx0

            This week's update:
 Savings Account 1: £132.16
 Savings Account 2: £407.06
 Pint Pot: £135.17
 Grand Total: £674.39
Most of the pint pot came from the leftover kids money - must have miscalculated when I took it from the cash Machine!! Then I got a cheque from £80 from my mum.
I've done loads of overtime this month - equivalent of 53 plain time hours so that will come in February, plus I have some money left over from December's wage, so when January's wage goes in on Tuesday I will transfer what is left over.Start Date: 27/11/2010
 Padding: Day 42
 Target £8000
 Amount: £562.230

I.F, youre doing really well. You have got over two months to go and need way less then 50% now. you're well up and over the hill arent you!
we started off needing £1428 last July, and still need £750 now... and its due in 4 weeks
got alot of extra dosh coming in over the next month though luckily, so not really as bad as it sounds i suppose.
in 6 months weve paid off £678 and in the next ONE month we need to pay off £750...:eek:
anyhow, well done I.F youre doing well.
Hows everyone else doing at the moment?

            Ok, officially freaking out now...
£750 left to pay off... 4 weeks to do it. my GOD, how am i ever going to manage?
 Right,
£150 coming off mum (our belated Christmas present- cos she never knows what to buy us)
 £50 coming from Mystery Shopping
£45 stashed in my "secret box" upstairs
£25 from DH wages this week
£45/wk for 4 weeks upto balance being due = £180
That totals £450. So, £300 left to find. BUT, dh doing yellow pages beginning February, and although by time the cheque clears the balance will be passed due, my mum says she'll lend it us until te payment comes through (prob end of Feb).
 SO should be okay.
Oh the trauma. Just think I've left it really late again and wish I'd made a better start last summer when we first booked it.
Thinking of going to Centre Parcs in October, will defo be more organised for that holiday then I feel like I have been this time!

Oooh doing really well! Am looking forward to my weekend off work this week, having worked for three of the last three (bar 1 Sunday off!). I'm shattered.
Have done a bit of shifting about:
 Account 1: £678.62
 Account 2: £224.92
 Pint Pot: £ 45.28
 Total: £ 948.82
 Still to go: £151.18
I'd like to thank Noggin and PAP for setting up this thread because I don't think I could have done it without you! I certainly was planning on putting the holiday on my credit card, thus increasing the debt more, but this way - I wont have to! (well, maybe I will pay for it on my credit card for the added protection, but I have the money to put on there first)Start Date: 27/11/2010
