            Hi all
Due to an unforseen change in our plans, I'm sorry but I'm going to have to drop out of this challenge. I still have the savings account, but I've decided to save it to pay off our final CC instead.
Good luck to all of you guys though, I'm sure you'll do so well x

hi noggin, its great to see your computer back in action :j welcome back. Sadly i am back to £0 savings wise had a rocky few months and what with booking another driving test, falling off the debt free wagon and starting my own busniess i am now back to nothing . However i have a tad £15 i think but at the moment i am just getting xmas and part of january out of the way first. Once i get half of jan sorted and into 2008's pay packets i shall be fine. At the moment i am saving £50 a month (different pots) come january i should be saving in the region of £400 (touch wood). But all rests on january. But never mind. May holiday is still going ahead (week away) however i shall do a late booking on that one and then septembers holiday i am unsure of just now so i shall come back to you on that one. However i have a little target of myself in 2008 so this will link onto that anyways. . hiya pap, sorry to hear your stash has depleated sometimes these things just happen, and ive just taken my driving test too so i know how expensive they are. sometimes these things just happen, and ive just taken my driving test too so i know how expensive they are.
i think were all struggling a bit at the moment if it helps pap, cos its never easy this time of year esp when youre trying to save for various different things.
for eg at the mo- im trying to repay my mum back some bits what i borrowed off her- total around £450, im also trying to save for my 2 holidays, 1 admittedly is included in that borrow off my mum, so really its just the 1 holiday im trying to save for now, im also trying to make a start on christmas 2008, cos i dont wana be skinto this time next year like i am now :rotfl:
and also trying to save £10 every fortnight towadrs car tax next year, ALSO trying to buy £2/wk savers stamps to cover christmas weeks food shop next year... SOOOO, theres not alot of spare cash at the minute.
i mentioned it on another thread recently, dunno if its any good to any of you... ww.deya.co.uk, recruiting people to deliver yellow pages begginning next year. i did two rounds last time and got approx £180 to bring home. its hard work and you do need a car but the money is nice for a bit extra
me and dh did it last year, so this year he applied as a team leader and i applied to deliver again, and he will be getting between £350-450 this year, plus whatever i do.
they give you a week or so to finish the round and i seem to remember there being like 90-100 books per round i think. maybe a bit more.
but if you go on the website it tells you the delivery dates for each area somewhere on there.
 hth someone!

Well I stupidly booked a holiday and I am gonna have to use some of my credit card to pay for it, however I am determined that I use as little as possible, so I will join up.
So between now and the end of March I need to find as much of £1100 as I can, and then approximately £500 spending money. EEEEKKKKKStart Date: 27/11/2010

And I've started already!!! £2.60 in a pint-pot put to one side. I pay school dinners weekly and last week DS1 had two days off sick, so I don't have to pay £6.50 this week, just £3.90. £1097.40 to go!
Edited five minutes later: I've decided to put the 1s, 2s and 5p's that I collect into the pot too. So, 35p to one side now (well, I did cash them in for Xmas so am starting from fresh!!!)
 £1097.05 to go!Start Date: 27/11/2010

 Target £8000
