I.F, so you need £151 by end march then another £500 spends by end may? youre doing so so well you are. (bit jelous) but you sound like youve worked hard for it so good for you :T:T:T
we now need another £670 by 14th feb (less £150 mums giving me), so need £520 really. got £50 coming tomorrow from dh 2nd wage, then £50 coming from grass roots when they get their blumin' back sides into gear with the 15th jan payment run!
also been putting a few quid in a little pot towards hol aswell, not much in there just 50p now and again when i have it spare (rare occassion like) i drop a quid in or whatever. only been doing it a week so only got about a fiver in there, but if i carry on doing that for next 3 weeks should add up a tiny bit. every little bit helps
as soon as weve paid off the hol balance middle of next month were going to start on saving the spends, want about £400 so plan to have this saved by end march through dh 2nd wage and council tax feb and march saved (we pay over 10 months so in feb and march i always save the money, as normally it would have been GONE GONE GONE straight after pay day again)
when thats sorted out im going to start on saving for centre parcs in october. get a head start

LOL! I'm so NOT booking a holiday for next year - I'm going to use my Tesco vouchers to have a week in a caravan somewhere down south, and then concentrate on getting some of my horrendous debts paid off (that I am just facing up to). I'm sure you;ll get your money for your holiday, you seem to have lots of irons in the fire and come across as really determined and focussed.Start Date: 27/11/2010

:rotfl:i never noticed my post count before :rotfl:mum and me always go to haven and then i plan day trips etc etc... we have been to weymouth and devon. This time we are planning cornwall. I keep checking the site each day to see the prices. Today i think its £220 for 4 nights in may. not too bad but i want it to be below the £200 mark so i will keep my eyes on it. Plus i can book through quidco and get 10% back :T Its not too bad really for self catering. Plus i will be able to do some of the driving which inst too bad 0 0

sounds ok that pap £220 for 4 nights. were looking at centre parcs for 4 nights in oct and thats £335 for the 4 of us. so in comparrison to that its quite fair priced.
my son has been pestering to go to butlins or haven for yonks now. only thing is, weve got a caravan near skeggy, so would it be a waste of money for us to go to butlins or haven? becuase dont you stop in a caravan? id like to go but dont want to end up feeling like we could have saved the money and gone to caravan instead.

noggin i agree £220 isnt bad but i want it a bit below £200. I could get it cheaper if i went into there budget caravans but i tend to stick with the gold/silver vans. Butlins/haven is great for children as you get all the entertainment basically free, i think the kids entertainment starts at 8am and finishes around 9pm so its all day all go. The only thing is sometimes you have to pay extra for a picnic luch for them (£3 last year). But yes you do stay in a caravan, unless you go to butlins hotel. However saying that the budget vans you can stay in for £80 for 4 nights in some sites and that sleeps up to 8, you pay per van rather than pp. Obviously by the time you budget food/petrol etc etc it can work out expensive so you have to weigh up your options. Me and mum only stay there because these site are central so we bunk there and then go to day trips. We also go to some of the adult entertainment avalible but it depends... i love haven just because it is so cheap whereas a hotel anywhere close to anywhere in cornwall would cost a few bob more.0

HOORAY! I've been a bit quiet of late because I have just been waiting to get paid. I didn't think I would get my back pay this month but I was wrong and it's been awarded!! So, I got the grand total of £616 more than normal (with overtime, honoraria and refunded childcare vouchers - hooray) so I have not only got the last of my actual holiday money, but I also have the spending money too!!!) In fact, I am over by £21!
Next attempt is to find £800 for my Alliance & Leicester overdraft so I need to go and find a thread to do that on.Start Date: 27/11/2010
