no pap u keep savin for urhol like u were before. its good to have the encouragement off other people saving up too. doesnt matter if you finish way infront of everyone else. thats the idea of a challenge!
anyway, when u have finished saving up for these 2 hols u could start on with ur 2009 hol, cos i remember someone else mentioned they were saving for 2009 to vegas. (really rude cant remember who sorry). and when ive finished saving for december and may hols, im going to start saving for aug/sept to cape verde aswell. so well all be here years!!!! lol

good luck with the saving anyway pap, im off to pay £100 off my hol #1 in a bit, already in my sig.

i have been playing around with the online accounts today, and am going to the bank tomorrow to pay in the first proper chunk of our holiday savings, as well as paying some debts and stuff off.

Our 2009 Vegas fund now stands at £201.00 :T

I'm also arranging for my work expenses to be paid directly into that account on Monday, so that will be a nice regular drip of cash into the fund

How's everyone else doing?

well done pg, nice little find youve got started up. seems like the first couple of hundred is always the hardest tho doesnt it.

hi evry1, just thought id update. opened my £1 coin tin with tin opener (bit naughty) and theres £45 in there. so added it to my signiture for hol#2 and giving it to my mum tonight so i cant spend it on sumat else!!

hi noggin, sorry i seem to have left you to run the thread ~ naughty pap :whistle: lots of things have promted me not posting ~ i applogise ~ i am back. Having a dilemma at present, as this time next month i may have to wipe out all my savings and start again :wall: except the £200 deposit still havent decided but we shall see, no change on my savings goal. ING direct seems to have fluffed up my direct debits and no savings went i this month :rolleyes: will change that however and some should be in around friday next week :T

I've just had the first work expense payment into the vegas fund - £69 bringing the total to £270 :T

I've just done a revamped SOA and budget, and on top of the expenses I have budgetted £150 pcm into the vegas savings. I'll be putting it all on red in no time heheh!!!!

hi evry1 long time no speak! our computer is broken (again) sohaving to use my mums! hence not updated for yonks!

righty oh, had a bit of luck this month... got a £674 tax refund comuing in tomorrow wage slip due to being on basic rate for ages and ages, so being a good girl and broken it down into things we really need instead of wasting it, and allocated £270 to hol#2, which is at new year.
so will be updating my sig now!!!!

ps sorry if im not on for ages-will be on as soon as our puter fixed!

hi all, computer still broken... :mad: hmf...

anyway, not saved any more to hols as yet, but dh and myself have both got a canvassing job which is £250 flat rate polus extras for certain things. so, that will be £500 in total we get for both doing it, which will be the remainding £280 for hol #2 and £220 for hol #1 extra aswell. so quite giddy about that!!!
