Being pragmatic I'd say ~£4,000 worse off per household by 2030 at a guess.

At least that was the severe-shock scenario that was touted by HM Treasury (and widely derided). If Osborne is proved correct, he's been vindicated and us leave voters will have to accept that we voted for that situation.

the Treasury NEVER said that the uk would be £4,000 worse off per household .

What they said is that we will be richer than now, but less rich that we might have been if we stayed.

What's the price do you think? If you don't have a price in mind then you can't know if it's worth paying.

So exactly how much do you think it's worth getting rid of a bunch of venal, corrupt politicians from Brussels to replace them with a bunch of venal corrupt politicians from London? Let's say to the nearest billion quid.

Whatever the price is - it will be worth it.

If I drop dead tomorrow - then I can go happily, knowing that my kids live in a country that controls its own destiny, knowing that sometime soon my kids will be able to afford a house, knowing that my grandchildren might be able to have a room of their own and a garden to run around.

So what if the pound has fallen?? A high pound just lets people buy tons of crap that ends up in land fill. What's great about that??? You can buys tons of crap but you can't afford a house and you can't get your kids into a school.

I wasn't implying that we'd be worse off by £4,000 per household than we are right now. I even mentioned the severe-shock scenario from which the figure was drawn from, and as you pointed out I was also aware that it would be "worse off than we otherwise would be".

That'll teach me for trying to occupy the centre ground without being clear enough.

Whatever the price for everyone in the UK, including those who didn't vote for this and those who were too young to vote, right?

Any price is worth it. I hope you don't understand what you're talking about.

A high pound allows people to buy a bunch of things you disapprove of. It also allows them to buy chemotherapy drugs and MRI machines and PET scanners to allow doctors to diagnose and treat cancers.

A poorer country means more avoidable deaths.

Ah yeah, sorry I forgot. You've got £350 million a week extra to spend on the NHS as your lovely friends promised. When do the money taps get turned on for the NHS please? Do you get it now or is it after the Poles get kicked out of the country?

When do you think we should have left the EU?

When net migration got to 500,000?

When house prices started rising by 20% , 30% per year???

    When Tax harmonization was introduced?

When we had completely lost all control over our economic destiny?
