the OP clearly thought as she had a BB, she could park. Her reasoning is now history.
The fact is that her dad with dementia decided to do a walkabout, as dementia patients often do, taking with him the BB
Had he not done this, no ticket would have been issued as the BB would have been displayed.

    No.

Apart from no standing in an adds car park a bb cannot be used for parking in a disabled space so that the driver can go shopping whilst the bb holder waits in the car.

Suggest you preach this to all those who look after Dementia patients

The OP is unfortunate but misguided & should never have let this get to court. Sometimes it is the motorist who is in the wrong even when they think they are in the right. While it might be very convenient for the carer it would be illegal to park on double yellow lines leaving the BB holder in the car even while popping into the chemist to collect a prescription for the BB holder & similarly it's not reasonable to park in a disabled space leaving the BB holder in the car while popping in for a sandwich even if it's for the BB holder.

Your lack of knowledge would provoke such comments

Instead of jibes intended to cause trouble why not tell us how the op or others caught out by this abuse of a bb can show there was no abuse?

No need to use such so emotive language as it's not abuse of a BB when it's merely breaching the T&Cs in a private car park.

I don't know what you are on today there is "no causing trouble" most of us live in the real world

I didn't ask a question I stated the facts. You don't seem to want to understand that while it might be very convenient for the carer it would be illegal to park on double yellow lines leaving the BB holder in the car even while popping into the chemist to collect a prescription for the BB holder & similarly it's not reasonable to park in a disabled space leaving the BB holder in the car. The car should either have been parked in a regular parking space or the BB holder should have been taken into the store. The OP's excuse is that they made a one off misjudgement as they didn't understand this at the time but you don't seem to be able to understand this point even though it's been explained several times over.

You choose to call me emotive

However the word abuse entered the thread from other sources!

As already posted the bb has no standing in asdA car parks.

Where they do apply they cannot be used like the op did!

And as I keep saying for whatever reason the OP decided to do this, it is now history, it really does not matter, it is the failed appeal and the judgement that really matters
