Thanks Mystified - that should be my name!!
I am guessing I will need add ons like a docking station and bits to make it work in car etc and a protective cover so maybe my £100 isn't going to go that far after all.
I will be looking at the latest Apple Nano and hope to be up to speed soon.
One other thing I am a little confused about is the actual downloading of music - can you only go to Apple to do this?
Many thanks0 -
Just had an e-mail alert from PC world offering Nano Silver 4Gb for £79 + £4.95 delivery so seems they matching Amazon on price at the moment.

No, there are other download services such as Napster, and even Tescos do it (http://www.tescodownloads.com). Always try out one track first to see if it works. For example, Tescos is in wma format, and you will need to convert this to get it to play on your ipod.0 -

That is £83.95 in total. Amazon still have stocks of the coloured blue/pink/green 4GB nano for £75.60 delivered, so £8.35 / 10% cheaper.0 -

Can anyone please tell me whether these are 1st or 2nd generation nanos? I'm pretty clueless about these things lol
They are 2nd generation nanos. The 1st Generation were black and white and made out of the same materials as the normal ipods and the 2nd generation are the coloured ones. (theres also 3rd generation now but these are the new fatter ones)0 -
Just contacted Amazon about the Pink iPod nano I ordered last month and they have credited £30 back to my account. Everyone else should give it ago if they ordered one in the last 30 days.0

TRIED TO GET ONE. POSTAGE NOT INCLUDED NOW. £ 80.00 INCLUDING POSTAGE. FORGET ITSaverSarah wrote: »Showing £76.50 now...0 -
The wma isn't as easy as just converting it as it will be a DRM protected file. You could probably do the old burning it to cd and then ripping it again to get around it but its easier to just use iTunes. Most of the download sites all charge the same anyway and iTunes has the largest selection of them all.0
