Never used them before and always thought they'd be quite good. Next day delivery and you can pay for all the extras like old appliance removal, installation and unpacking etc.

Im away at the moment, so my disabled wife and mother-in-law are home. Our fridge packed up so I ordered one off AO.com. They assured me it would all be sorted if I paid for this.

How wrong I was. Complete nightmare. Guy who turned up was lazy and rude. Did as little as possible, dumped fridge in mddle of kitchen, left water everywhere, refused to do some of it, tried to get out of taking the packaging (a service I paid for!) and shot off in the van as quick as he could. His answer - get a refund for the services you paid for I'm in a rush to do next delivery.

Not great to be honest. Completely let down by them. Complaint gone off - we'll see what they say.

Why did you/your family not empty the water out of it in preparation of it being taken away?

Its plumbed in to the mains water supply. Paid extra for disconnection and removal service.

Sorry, OP, that's hilarious so had to laugh. We bought double oven, hob, fridge/freezer & cooker hood from AO, I can't think of a negative thing to say about the company.

To be frank, I'd have been on the phone to AO while the idiot delivery guy was still standing in my kitchen, so they could explain to him EXACTLY what he was expected to do BEFORE he left for the next delivery.

Water on the floor? Afraid I don't believe AO have any service you can pre book & pay for that includes mopping the floor, or cleaning up of any description really.

Deliver, unpack, fit, remove packing & old appliance, yes. Wiping up floor, cleaning grubby fingerprints, dusting etc etc.....no, I think not.
Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.

My experience of AO was exactly the opposite.

Ordered a new oven and decided not to pay for the collection of the old appliance as we had a means of getting rid of it.

Almost as soon as the order was placed I received a call from AO to confirm the order and delivery time slot. There was the usual insurance sales pitch but it was a soft sell and no thanks was accepted as no thanks.

The man asked if I wanted the old oven taken away for free which I gratefully accepted.

The delivery team were on time and were pleasant and helpful, taking away the old oven and the packaging from the new one.

Don't think it's fair to tar AO with this. Clearly their delivery teams are very different in their attitudes and the way they do their jobs. I'm sure if you contact them about this the situation would be dealt with satisfactorily.

    Another opposite from me,
Used them for a few things, dishwashers and a gas cooker. All dead easy to order, prompt delivery, removal, blah blah and exactly as it said on the tin.
#With the gas cooker we paid for installation and the gas safe fitter even moved the pipe slightly for us for a better fit.
I think you've had a one off bad attitude delivery guy.
    Hope you get it sorted.

AO are OK if you want an item delivered and it works. If you want any customer service, aftersales or have a problem with/after installation, then they aren't a good choice. But, you get what you pay for.

People want John Lewis service with AO prices.
