The OP does seem to have rich tapestry of problems according to the threads they have started...I'm still not sure what this complaint is about, other than a wet floor and a grumpy delivery guy. The OP actually wasn't present on delivery and is complaining about it second hand? Maybe he can confirm he got what he paid for?

Tell you what then foxtrotoscar.... ;-)

Its a CONSUMER FORUM. Would you rather I posted about what I had for my tea last night?

Although to be fair, I know full well that there a lot of posters (maybe you included) that, sadly, get a bit of a kick out of arguing on this forum for the sake of it. All a bit sad IMHO.

Do any of you recent posters on this thread have any experience with AO.com that you'd like to share, so that paulfoel can form a balanced view of the service (or lack of) that was experienced with his purchase delivery?
Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.

They are a basic cheap retailer. I don't understand how you think they position themselves otherwise. The consumers are the guide on how good customer services is.

Have you heard back from them yet? Have you outlined what it is you want to happen?

Yes I would be interested to hear. At the moment it looks like generally most dont have a problem it seems.

Not according to them. They aspire to provide the best service in the industry...

To be fair, some retailers would only offer delivery to doorstep - even for a huge fridge. AO offer the full server (for extra of course).

They have offered a refund of the services not given and £30. Sorry but £30 doesnt buy a lot of time or hassle when they let me down.

More concerned that their reply was more along the lines of sorry we missed a few things so heres our standard offer rather than making any attempt to investigate and/or ensure it doesnt happen again. Looks like the driver knows full well he can get away with ir because nothing ever happens when customers complain.

I'd be a bit wary on ordering from AO.com if I was totally reliant on them doing what I paid them to do like I was this time.

Yes, answering phones early in the morning makes you tired.
