After all, the novel plays with the paradox of utopian/dystopian futures and even the Shakespearean context treats the line somewhat ironically. Just my completely unsolicited opinion.1

Bloomin' 'eck... from some of the posts on the site in general you would think that the end is nigh... I suggest calling the thread 'DON'T PANIC! PREP'.
We will survive - all of the negativity is becoming a self fulfilling prophecy.:hello:0 -
Or perhaps the title shouldn't be reflecting any 'side' at all in that it should be about general preparedness for whatever
I think perhaps my point has not been articulated clearly. I do not object to a new title and indeed I hope that regular posters, in particular, can agree on something amicable that carries the spirit of the old thread with it. My point was merely that I don't think the present title need be interpreted with reference to any particular side, nor need it refer to the present upheaval (although I completely understand that the context in which it was propose and the new thread opened both referenced that situation).0 -

I still like 'Prepping for a Brave New World' - it's what was originally suggested.
Failing that, how about 'Chin up, Titus out'!!!:j[DFW Nerd club #1142 Proud to be dealing with my debt:TDMP start date April 2012. Amount £21862:eek:April 2013 = £20414:T April 2014 = £11000 :TApril 2015 = £9500 :T April 2016 = £7200:T

:T Wa-hey, a brave new thread. Nice one.
The title's fine, just at the moment, my brain keeps wanting to make it Aldous Huxley's Brave New World but that'll wear off in a few hours. It's definately much snappier than the old one after unexplicable loss of our SHTF...... You always want to know where your S is - hang on a minute, got that wrong, you always want to know where your towel is.
Been talking allotments with a pal, then walked up to my personal slice of Eden and felled the Giant Feral Chard Forest with a kitchen knife. This is chard which grew from this time last year. The stems were thicker than my wrist and had to be sawn through with a serrated kitchen knife - these beggars ended up about 7 ft tall once their flowering spikes were in full bloom.
Still, mustn't grumble, they kept me in fresh greens for 12 months. I have some smaller feral chards, 2016 version, popping up at random, plus proper lettuces to eat now.
Lotties go a bit mad at this time of the year, I find. A machete would probably be a handy tool but I did great work with a knockoff of a kitchen devil.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.
