  • Having a really good sort out this week. Away next weekend so will start selling the following week. I have loads and loads of stuff to get rid of. Used to be a regular ebayer but lost motivation when the market fell out of what I was selling. So plenty to clear out from then and much more now. It will feel great to tackle it as it has been put off so long but heavily on my mind. The money will be a bonus.:T

    Thanks for the company!

Well, my listings finished last night. Made a grand total of £10. Not the best but a start. I'll be listing more this afternoon if kids are quiet!:rotfl:That'll be the day!

well done!!! its a great start! only 3 of my 20 items sold up to now *sob* but probably made about a tenner too..!

what do you look for on eBay? do you look for the thing ending first/lowest price etc? just wondering how we can all increase our sales! do 1p listings work etc. ? any great advice?

I haven't done much ebay selling for a while and it has changed quite a lot since. But my best tip is to always check out completed auctions of the item you want to sell. It gives you a good idea of what to expect. Starting price, buy it now or forget it take it to the charity shop or back in the attic for a while.

Ebay is always slow at this time but will pick up from now on in the run up to Christmas and now the sales are over on the high street.

    It's worth a bash I think!

  • This is a fab idea - only problem is I already have most of my Christmas shopping done already- although havent got a clue what to get for my Dad or BIL - they're both really hard to buy for.
Since splitting with my ex 4 years ago I havent bothered with decorations - don't see the point as I live alone, and I also now go to my parents for lunch, which means I don't have to buy food either. Add to that I am sad enough to have a 'wrapping paper drawer' which is full of paper from last years sales!

No worries about that, I've bought lots of pressies already too but you could still join in if you liked.
A lovely idea to sell unwanted bits to pay for christmas :)
Good luck if you do join us

You'd be surprised at what sells!!! Good luck to you! best and quickest way of listing is to sell all your books in one go or all your photo albums in one go or whatever, as you dont have to sift through loads of categories then when listing!!

I have got a great spreadsheet that allows you to work out how much overall profit you have made on each item (subtracts insertion fee, postage etc) if you would like it PM me and i'll send you a copy!

    Hi
    I have PM'D you:j
