    :rudolf:Vickym's Official 10 day update:rudolf:
    • how much have you sold? £ 38.99
    • What % is this towards your target? at the mo 28%
    • Have u reached any level of the challenge yet? 25% Bauble
    • Are you listing your first box this week? no aiming to list 2nd box
    • Are you still sorting stuff to be put on eBay?? yep and asking all relatives and mates if they have got stuff they dont want too
I still have some pressies to get.
£30 Wine to go in gift baskets
£ 5 Nibbles to go in gift baskets
£20 pressie for one niece - other 2 nieces pressies I already have.
    £20 God sons pressie
£30 Sisters main pressie but normally she picks what she wants and I buy hers off ebay cause she sends me the link to the item she wants so paypal funds will come in handy
£20 approx for wrapping paper, cards, cellophane & bows for baskets etc
So still a further £125 to purchase approximately

OH's pressie I am unsure about - at the moment we are thinking of not buying each other pressies but buying something large for the house instead ie new large LCD tv for lounge our rear projection one is playing up at mo.

Off to list a few more items on ebay - have sold a couple of small items this morning so once they are paid for I will update my signature again.

Also. Can I just say a big thankyou to Jamtart6 for starting this thread its really made me aware of just how much I spend and its a big help selling of stuff that you dont need or want that are just cluttering up the place and this challenge is a real incentive to get active and get rid of them.
SO A BIG THANKYOU JAMTART 6 :T

I was thinking last night that if I achieved any of the levels then I was going to reward myself - I dont treat myself at all - I am always treating others and I think that this would be a good idea for us all.
I was thinking of the following rewards

25% Bauble level If I reach this then I am going to buy myself 2 small chocolate bars from Thorntons (I love thorntons)
50% Christmas Stocking Level If i reach this level then I am going to treat myself to a nice bottle of wine for about £5
75% Christmas Tree Level - If I reach this then I am going to treat myself to a box of chocolates from Thorntons to the value of £10
100% Father christmas Status - Well if I reach this I am going to treat myself to a new pair of pyjamas - from somewhere nice ie, next or M &S or 4 pairs from primark

If I reach over 100% North pole then I am gonna treat myself to a nice new dressing gown to go with my nice new pyjamas that I will have got for reaching Father christmas level.

I know its not money saving but like I say I never treat myself and I think it will encourage me more to aim for the full status and after all I am and will be doing lots of hard work to try to achieve this.

Hope everyone is doing well with their challenge  keep up the good work

You go ahead & treat yourself!
nothing like an incentive to keep the momentum going
    I love Thorntons chocs too..mmmm

Why not treat yourself at each milestone

Then you could be sitting in your new dressing gown & PJs eating a nice box of chocolates & sipping wine!

Keep Going & well done so far everyone:T

I have listed my items but no bids yet:mad:
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.
  • Hooray for jamtarts fabulous idea!!

Havent got back round to it yet naughty me!

However good new is i have lots of watchers and a couple of items with bids! :j
    Moving house on January 31st.

I can't believe I haven't found this thread before!!! I've been trying to be "neutral" and by making the most of the Sales and using vouchers from Pigsback, Boots points etc I have so far managed to get just under £560 worth of goods for £273.44!! And I have made £129.10 profit on Ebay so I'm at 47% :j

I want to aim for a completely neutral 100% though! A long way to go but I WILL be Father Christmas :rotfl:

Yay! I have just sold around another £30-35 on eBay!!! AND...........

Have got another 2 boxes to list!! Have made roughly £50 up to now...but still no BIG presents bought - yikes! :j

Have been saving up Boots points since January...and cant decide what to buy with them - was going to buy us a camera - (have £108) but the specs arent what we want....so decided to...

go wild in the January sales! I spent £100 last year (and got LOADS of stuff) so next year, all that will be neutral too??

:ABeing Thrifty Gifty again this year:A

  • How much have you sold? £24.36 sold...yippeeeee
What % is this towards your target? 26%
Have you reached any level of the challenge yet? Wooohoo Bauble Treated myself to a large (36p) quality street triangle lol definitely christmasy
Are you listing your first box this week? Listed one box and half way through another.
Are you still sorting stuff to be put on eBay?? Packed up most things into boxes but sifting through the house still as I really wanna make 100% Father Christmas Status :santa2:

I still have lots of shopping to do...especially the main presents for my four children, clothes each for them and oh :(
I have got their stockings and lots of family pressies already though :)

Well done on your sales Jamtart6 and Sally savings - keep up the good work

I have sold in the last few days a further £8.23 worth of stuff so will need to update my signature again.

Treated myself to a couple of small bars of chocolate from thorntons as I reach bauble level status last week. Felt proud buying them knowing that I had cleared some junk out of my house and it had paid for some pressies.

Take care have a good week everyone

  • Oh dear I am so rubbish - I have nothing to up-date! I have sorted out what I am putting on - but I need to take phohots and then list it as yet! I'm hopefully going to get all sorted by tomorrow night! JAMTART I have pm'd you for your fancy spreadsheet.

Everyone sounds like they are doing really well! I love Vickym's idea of incentivising yourself - think I will do that too! Will up-date again once I;ve listed my bits and bob!:j
    :j
  • You'll get there...it took me nearly two weeks to get off the starting blocks ;)

    Good luck
