Oh dear I am so rubbish - I have nothing to up-date! I have sorted out what I am putting on - but I need to take phohots and then list it as yet! I'm hopefully going to get all sorted by tomorrow night! JAMTART I have pm'd you for your fancy spreadsheet.

Everyone sounds like they are doing really well! I love Vickym's idea of incentivising yourself - think I will do that too! Will up-date again once I;ve listed my bits and bob!:j

Keep your spirites up Minimoneysaver you have took the first step of sorting through your items to sell. Break them down into smaller batches and try and aim for a couple each day rather than looking at it all and thinking oh my god this will never get done:eek:

I have got 4 boxes full of stuff to list on ebay but I have put them all into a spare room out of the way and left one smaller box in the hallway and every night before going to bed I go and get 4 items out of the other boxes and pop them in the box in the hallway that way it reminds me that I have got to do them and as there are only 4 it doesnt seem like such a huge fete. One day I listed 10 items as I just got into the swing of it all and felt great after doing that.

Good luck with it all - you will get there in the end

  • I've listed about 10 more items today. looked though other items the same and my lot could go for a good whack. Hoping to update with a few sales this time next week.
    Nothing to declare ;)
  • :j sold a little more today !!!! Not alot but as my mum used to say "Its the pennies that make the pounds" :)

I've listed two of my many boxes now and feel at least I'm getting somewhere with this challenge :)

Sad I know but I'm quite excited (I lead a very sheltered life lol)

Its not just knowing that the money is going towards christmas but it gives me a kick up the rear to get rid of some of my c***...oops I mean pre loved items ;)

Good luck to everyone on this challenge and its never too late to join in if you want to :)...so come on down for the jamtart challenge (mmmm sounds like an eating challenge :))
  • Well I have currently earnt back way more than i have spent but this is because i sold my daughters travel system as i no longer use it! So that boosted me by £125 with little fees as they paid cash on collection! :j

Got loads to list this week though just need to find the time to do it.

Got lots more christmas shopping to do although the £40 spent already is purely on my little lady so that should be the most expensive nearly finished!! :T
    Moving house on January 31st.
Its brand new and empty ARGH the stress.

Yikes! Please dont eat me Sally Savings!!! mind you I could do with losing a few pounds (in weight not money of course!) !!!

Well done everyone - heres a challenge for the newer people finding it hard to list items - list 3 items this weekend, and report back to us by monday how you did - 3 will take you no more than an hour no matter what your level of ebay experience or technical capabilities!

Whilst I think everyone is doing great (expecting my total to be about £70 by the end of the weekend!! :D) I thin we should give a special clap to :T:T:T Yummy Mummy who has done amazingly well with just one item - she is currently at lapland level! WOW!!! :T:T Well done!!

Come on guys get digging out your old gems (read:rubbish) for eBay this weekend and keep us all posted!!! :D

Update on the pressies I still have left to get

£30 Wine to go in gift baskets
£ 5 Nibbles to go in gift baskets - have now got thanks to Lakeland voucher for £10 dicussed on anther thread ( nibbles cost £ 3.50)
£20 pressie for one niece - have now purchased pressie cost £15
    £20 God sons pressie
£30 Sisters main pressie but normally she picks what she wants and I buy hers off ebay cause she sends me the link to the item she wants so paypal funds will come in handy
£20 approx for wrapping paper, cards, cellophane & bows for baskets etc

So now the amount left to buy is £ 100.00

Good news the last couple of days I have sold a few items
So I will go through my ebay list and work out what the amount is after fees.

    have a good weekend everyone

Yay!!!!! well done - revel in the excitement even if it is for just a couple of hours or so, one you finalise your list and realise just how much you have left to buy. I was shocked when I totted up how much I had left to get but compared to how much some people spend on Christmas I dont think I am doing too bad.

You have done really well Jamtart6 and are an inspiration to us all.

I am off out in a couple of minutes to see if I can get any bargains in my local town. Staying away from Boots for 3 weeks have decided that I am not going back in there until its the Christmas evening as I find too many nice bits n bobs to buy that I dont really need.

Take care and enjoy the weekend

ps. reminder tomororw is our 20th Day so we need to update on our progress
