I stand corrected - I am now over excited as I have made £10 profit so far, really impressed by this idea.0

wow...didnt realise quite how long I spent on this site either lol
Really missed logging on here...sad I know lol
Eventhough I've missed being here, I have decided to ban myself from the site for the next two daysThis will then give me time to list lots of things on ebay. I have so many more to list but I dont think they are going to fetch very much so this half price listing is ideal. Just not sure how I'm going to manage to keep off here though (perhaps another 10 mins today
)

Tip: Have you ever searched for an item you are selling on eBay to see how much it is going for and to see whether or not it is worth bothering with?
Have you then been dismayed to see they have no bids so think its not worth bothering?
I have done this billions of times, until I worked out (thanks guys on the eBay board) how to search for completed listings.
1. Click advanced search next to the normal search bar
2. Type in keyword for your item
3. Click 'complete listings only'
4. Then "Sort by" [HIGHEST PRICE]
5. Click search
"
Jamtart I am loving this search thing you put on here a while ago!!!! Have quoted again in case it helps anyone else who doesn't want to trawl through!!:j0 -
What a great idea! :T
I would love to join. Just in time for Thursday's half price insertion fee!
I hope to at least recoup half my costs (50%) as I have to buy some new furniture for the spare room and a bed for the study (to accommodate guests) this christmas, so I will find the extra cash very helpful!

My family have been re-cycling all our 'clutter' for a couple of years now. I'm already Christmas neutral for this year!! (I started in September)
My children save all their game boxes, instructions etc.. and sell complete when they've got bored with them. I keep their boxes in the loft so it doesn't clutter their rooms. PS2 games etc...
Last year they both wanted PSPs instead of GBAs. So, they sold everything they had including the consoles and managed to get new PSPs and some games with the funds made!! Their new toys were cost neutral:D
I have managed to fill my ISA every year for the past 3 years so far ebaying and I'm not up to my ears in stuff I don't use.
Items have 3 ways out of our house bin (if dead), charity or ebay!!
In the summer ebay last years children's clothes that they have grown out of - it goes along way to buy the new ones..0 -
Well done to everybody for their continuing efforts! My pathetic profit of £16.34 looks super-pathetic now I've bought my kid a bike for Christmas! Anyway, the half price listing day tomorrow has spurred me into action and I've been fishing things out of my loft and photographing them today. Mainly baby toys but it's amazing what you find once you start looking isn't it? It all takes time though, and although I've tried to do things efficiently, it takes me ages to take photos, package things, look up postage costs, research sale prices etc etc. How are you guys managing to make time for your Ebaying?! I have to confess that our house is so cluttered I had to spend time hunting for the lead to download photos from the camera! So much clutter it's sabotaging my de-cluttering efforts!!! Good luck for all your half-price listings tomorrow, and I look forward to hearing about your profits.0

:T:TYay! we made it into the weekly e-mail!!!!!!!!!!!! :T:T
(I wondered where the sudden surge of PM's had come from for spreadsheet requests!!)
Just want to say thank you so much for keeping me company on this challenge guys, have really enjoyed it actually! I can't believe how well everyone has done! :T (And remember to all you lot who are feeling jaded about smaller profits..it is money you didn't have to start with and every little helps so SMILE....SANTA IS ON HIS WAY!!)
Welcome to all the newbies on the challenge and best of luck!!!
For those who need a boost - try and sort all your things out, photograph them in one go, upload all together, write descriptions in word, copy and paste the description into your selling form when you are ready - save lots of time, and you can upload as and when you want to!
(If you could all let me know what 'level' of the challenge you are on, I will duly update the roll of honour PMing is probably best so we don't clog up the thread!)
