You could start a thread on the Old Style Board listing what food you currently have and the good people on there might be able to come up with a meal plan for the next couple of weeks to see you through.
It might also be worth keeping a paper record of your online and 'in person' transactions beside your laptop so you can reconcile your account with the spends that haven't cleared yet before placing online orders. It would help to flag up issues like this in the future.I'm an adult and I can eat whatever I want whenever I want and I wish someone would take this power from me.

OP, you didn't have enough money to pay everyone you owed.
If you are unwell and haven't been reconciling your money it isn't really Ocado's fault although I do sympathise if you are having a tough time in general. The money not going out of your account is really notice enough.
If its a one-off, you may find your Bank is receptive to a request for a refund of the charges, especially if you have a genuine condition which makes it hard for you to keep on top of everything or have hardship. The angle would not be that Ocado made a mistake and messed you up because they didn't. It would be that you made a mistake and are asking for a concession in view of your overall circumstances.0 -
I just thought I'd see how you are doing OP and whether anyone has been able to offer helpful advice. I do not think I have ever commented negatively on anyone's post, on any forum before but I really can't believe how judgemental people are being! OP knows she is in a mess. I can't believe people are saying she shouldn't use Ocado because she is on benefits!! How condescending. Maybe those on benefits should only be given food vouchers which can be exchanged in Asda, Lidl, Aldi or whatever? You have also brought her parenting into question.
I hope OP you get some help with you situation for you and your daughter.0 -

As for the OP's child, I haven't seen much mention by anyone other than the OP...
As I said earlier, the "Debt-Free-Wannabe" forum is for non-judgemental help and support;

As you know I am a stickler for board discipline but this is one area of the forum I hadn't looked at previously. It's like DT, but with nice peopleValue-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

I had put the money aside for Ocado and if they had told me on the day there was an issue I could have paid them there and then. I did not spend this weeks supermarket money... it was taken out of my account without me knowing it was going to happen. So it isn't just a case of me spending the money and getting into trouble. And if they had told me, this could have been resolved months ago and it wouldn't have affected yesterday's shop at all.
So, if Ocado didn't take the money you'd put aside for your shopping, what happened to it? Surely it should still be in your account? If not, and you've since spent it on something else then it's hardly Ocado's fault that you've now been left short to pay for your Sainsbury shop this week.0
