They did use the dvla site to find out and they even included a screenshot of it as proof!

yes we have seen several of those incidents , this is the company that defied the DVLA and was only stopped access after the preserve case , a company that has had to stoop to the level of the IPC , as they were that bad they would have ruined the BPA

a set of ex clampers and (possably) thugs , that are not frightened of breaking the law

very rare occurances of court (non listed at BMPA) where I think they were shot down or folded before the case.

if gladstones are involved then you can be assured that the court paperwork will be a mess and they will instruct a legal mumpkin to act for them

I like the "pace security" aspect , can you verify the company that gladstones state are pressing charges?

once gladstones are involved ACE security will be paying HUGE legal costs (£500-600) and will only be able to reclaim about £175 from you.

at the moment (without reading 10 pages) they will probably have asked for about £150 before court , let them run with it , knowing that at the outcome (if you loose) you will only be £25 worse off , but them £500-600 down

follow the court papers thru , do not allow "on paper" and choose YOUR local court

hope you are good at poker

  • You are absolutely spot on. This claim appears to be for 2 tickets (out of the 5 they have served) at 250 each plus a few more quid for some sort of interest or something. I will follow guidance from here as I proceed and unfortunately a lot of what is being said on here is jargon to me so it's a little difficult to process for me. But I will try my best!
  • Oh and I have never played poker in my entire life!

So I've acknowledged it online and I have now received another for the third ticket which I have also acknowledged. I'm guessing I need to file my defence now within 28 days of the date the notice was served. Now how do I write this defence or is there a standard format to use?

Search this forum board for 'defence claim Gladstones'.

  • I've had a search and a read and all the defences I've found seem specific to the case. Are there any general ones I can use?

No they are very general! Did you not notice they are pretty much the same in many ways?

Yes very similar but unfortunately a lot of the content is alien to me so it's difficult for me to know which is best suited for my defence!
