Is there any way of uploading pics on here?

Host on Photobucket or TinyPrint or similar photo hosting site, then copy and paste the URL of your photo(s) here, but change http to hxxp. Regulars will convert.

Newbies don't have live uploading privileges until they have a few more posts than you currently have.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I wonder if the car tax thing is in the OP's lease/rent agreement and Ace are issuing PCN's on that basis?

    Hi everyone

I've been a complete prat and ignored everything (due to recently qualifying as a teacher and my job taking over my life). I have since received letters from gladstones solicitors demanding payment and now some sort of a letter from a court in Northampton. Help!!!

if it is from Northampton you have an official court claim (MCOL)

now read post #1 of the NEWBIES sticky thread again , plus another 10 or 20 court claim threads on here until you get the gist of the court claim process

and acknowledge it online but put NOTHING AT ALL in the defence box , to get an extra 14 days for your defence , so about 28 days in total

the more you read, the more you will learn (like being back at skool , lol)

Any hearing (if this proceeds to one) will be local to you, so no worries there. And we have loads of people here defending claims from parking firms; cases get discontinued often. This is not the time to fold.

Start by reading other threads that are similar, by searching this board for keywords such as 'Gladstones defence'. We have loads. The Parking Prankster has even coined a phrase 'you've been Gladstoned!' and it is NOT the defendants he is talking about being stitched up, it's the parking firms because these claims are so generic and incompetent that they lose so often, from what we've seen!

    http://parking-prankster.blogspot.co.uk/

...read the Blogs linked there on the right that contain the word 'Gladstones' and have a chuckle. This is no biggie and even if a person loses at a hearing (rare for Gladstones cases when well defended) there is no CCJ nor effect on credit rating as long as they then pay when the judge tells them to. This can't affect your career or credit rating - just don't ignore this now, or it would! It is not a fait accompli that a hearing will result at all but you do need to submit your basic AoS, then within the month, a defence.

First thing is to acknowledge the service, as explained by Redx.

Then show us your draft defence within 28 days.

Do not reply if you get a private message from a poster with less than 1000 posts offering you 'help' - just delete it! Could be anyone. We help on the forum, in the open on people's threads. Keep the thread updated, do the online AoS to buy time, then show us your defence, shamelessly plagiarised from all the others like it here.

    :)

It would be interesting to know what the Particulars of Claim state. This is the case where an invoice was apparently issued for not having valid VED.
