Typically flippant response from a Brexiteer to a perfectly valid comment.
    It's Clapton you're talking to. ;)

But yes, this WW3 thing does get a bit tiring.
Mainly because Cameron, nor anyone on the remain side ever mentioned it.
He (Cameron) warned the peace and stability Europe has enjoyed in recent years could not be guaranteed, saying leaving risked "the clock being turned back to an age of competing nationalism in Europe
If and when Putin & Co. decide it's time to do something about the status of 'Russian minorities' in the Baltics or other Eastern Europe states in a divided Europe we will see what happens.
Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

Typically flippant response from a Brexiteer to a perfectly valid comment. No one knows the consequences of this decision in the medium to long term but it is a perfectly valid emotion to be worried about our future in these uncharted waters. I hope you gave more thought and consideration to how you voted than you do when you comment on this forum.

    what was the valid comment?
something a local mayor said about a matter that is between the two governments
would you write so pomposely about a comment made by the mayor of Dover?

in any event is is deeply offensive for people to delight in supposed harm to the people of the UK

our future is ALWAYS in uncharted waters: there are now some different challenges now and some new opportuities

should such an event happen; would you prefer NATO (including the USA) t0 respond or prefer the EU army?

The dye is cast now, whichever side we were on, going forward there has to be only one. We have to get behind the exit strategy and hope for the best. In our own spheres we have to make it work.

It is divisive and futile to berate those who voted differently. They are not all illeducated or xenophobic, they just see things differently to me. We have to work with and live with everyone, regardless of how they voted.

It may not be what you wished to wake up to today but that is democracy.

Sunderland a beneficiary of inward investment linked to EU access, and you get this (below) Interesting that only 3.6% of the Sunderland population were foreign born.
Martin will learn the hard way when Nissan scales down operations or moves its production entirely to the single market. :)

why do you wish harm to the people of the UK because they exercise a democratic process which gives the 'wrong' result.

I did not see anyone say they wished that to happen, but I would suggest the chances of it happening are now much higher, and the young lad may very well have been voting against his best interests.

Just like you replied with your 3 million exiting immigrants comment, this fellow replied with what might happen.

For my view, I have no wish to see harm come to anyone but I do not think this was the correct decision for a better Europe or England. Democracy is the best long term stable form of government but that doesn't mean that it always selects the best outcomes for the people.

I'm glad that people are trying to think positively. I'm quite furious and sad about the result, but we have to pull ourselves together and try and make it work now. What choice do we have?
