Not much of a drinker to be honest as I drive daily, so the hooch doesn't bother me.Wouldn't have a Volvo if it was free
I live quite near to Whitstable (half an hour ) so fish can be bought fresh if required in fact most things are still going to be available no matter what.Certainly not panic buying as that will just push up the price of things, and I have enough in my food cupboards to feed half the street anyway

Why?
I'm in Australia, which isn't now nor ever has been part of the EU and we don't have a bother getting any of those things. We can get them because countries realise that exporting goods makes sound economic sense. They're not going to suddenly stop doing so now.
It was a light hearted post. Of course no-one needs to stock up on anything- but if they did then as we are leaving the EU what else would you stock up on but EU goods.
I assume that you pay import duties for many of those items which we currently don't.June challenge £100 a day £3161.63 plus £350 vouchers plus £108.37 food/shopping saving
July challenge £50 a day. £ 1682.50/1550
October challenge £100 a day. £385/£31000 -

Sorry, I was genuinely wondering
As for import duty, we pay some, but... and I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, it's set by our own government. The idea is to support Australian products and manufacture. Isn't it a better idea for UK products to be chosen first?Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
We've gone into total money hoarding mode as OHs company prepare to leave the UK. He works closely with the CFO and has been in emergency meetings since Friday morning planning !!!!!! they're going to do long term. He still has on month left of his probationary period and they've already decided to lay people off regardless.
Contracts have dried up at my work (we are in the automotive industry and some things we have scheduled have not been pulled by the big multi nationals) and I've all of a sudden got a 'catch up' meeting scheduled with one of our directors in light of our sudden drop in business. I was the last hire, so I'm feeling pretty worried
Not really sure what to do. We have a holiday booked for next month (just camping) and I'm considering cancelling, because it looks one or both of us will be job hunting soon and I don't want to go off and spend a load of money then regret it when we're struggling. Currently only have 2 months worth of living expenses in the bank. Poo.
One thing I will be doing is getting my Irish passport. OHs company are considering moving a couple of companies that it owns (financial services) to Dublin, and I happen to have close family there, so I feel like it might be a prudent thing to do. Our current home is only 30 mins door to door to London Marylebone and we own a decent chunk so, mortgage company allowing, it should rent out. This is all assuming that we don't manage to find other jobs here.0 -

In addition- get any stag dos in now as when we leave the EU we lose both Amsterdam and Prague. Still there is always Blackpool.

Rubbish. Its the losing side that want another chance. I bet they would have scoffed at a call for a re-vote if it been the other way round and remain had won.
What happens if a second vote was still for out? Would they want a 3rd, 4th, 5th?
What happens if a second vote was for in? Surely it would only be fair for another re-vote then. Best out of 3...5...7...?! Keep going until remain wins?!
The majority has spoken. Accept it and move on.
Perhaps a game of rock, paper, scissors? best of three between Boris and Cameron?Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

re the Irish passports if the rumours are true about the EU banning referendums then an Irish passport may not do any good as referendums are in the constitution and who knows what will happen then“HUMAN BEINGS MAKE LIFE SO INTERESTING.
