There may have been only 72% turnout, but there was less than 67% in the general election last year, with no talk of a second chance then.

As if they'd do the vote again. Seriously?! It doesn't matter if every single voter wishes they'd voted the other way, it's tough.

It's true that the vote isn't legally binding, but Cameron said the wishes of the British people would be respected, and I for one have do doubt we will withdraw, regardless as to whether he's PM.

there was less than 75% turnout and less than 5% difference in yes/no there should be a redo.. that isn't enough of a majority to be a reasonable margin.. and there are so many who voted leave as a protest thinking it wouldn't really happen and was a 'protest' like voting ukip was in the general.. there have been many people saying they would vote differently if they could.

It was actually a few days ago Farage said that there should be at least the 60/40 split so it wasn't a reaction to the result. Though he did admit to their arguments to leave being a pack of lies and deceptive which anyone with a shred of common sense already knew.. we will be the next Greece.. bankrupt country and noone to bail us out, our small businesses will fail (costs of fuel and materials will be too expensive) and all our rights will be wittled away.. before we even get to the important stuff like where will our food come from? and at what cost? binning of the nhs and destruction of everything else.

I'd recommend stockpiling anything that is going to last years.. dried and tinned foods for example.

And I've found a lovely house in Scotland, decent schools close by and just need employment nearby and we are off.. ahead of them leaving Crap Britain.

What are we going to do when all the migrant workers go home because our money isnt worth the paper (cloth/plastic) it is printed on and we get all the emigrated pensioners back from Europe...
You haven't answered any of my questions, just swerved them like a politician.

Maybe you need to pack a tin foil hat too.

I find it odd to talk of "only" a 72% turnout.

That is a big turnout for us Brits - that is 3 in 4 people that made sure they voted one way or another. Personally - I think thats good going and probably a noticeably bigger turnout than we usually get in our elections.

Still no answer to why the need to prep? And then talk of stockpiling goods, that smacks of scare-mongering on a much larger scale than anything chucked around during the campaign.

We in Scotland are mostly devastated too, however the prospect of IndyRef2 is something we are looking at in horror. It was awful the first time round, then we had this one.

Democracy is what it's all about, the alternative is what all those refugees are fleeing from. Sometimes our side wins, sometimes it loses. We can't stamp our feet and add to the general air of disbelief and discontent. A helluva load of people voted 'out'.

Absolutely no need to cause a run on the shops and stockpile dried goods!

The people of the nation have spoken, that's how democracy works whether the result of the vote makes you happy or not. The alternative to democracy is a dictatorship where no choice would be offered at all. I can only speak for me but that would make me much less happy than not getting the decision I wanted.

Actually the people of MY nation voted remain but as always we will be ignored. Good news for Indy2 though :j

In the meantime I suspect food prices will start to rise so adding to my stockpile.

Good luck with there being any employment in Scotland ... is that Scotland in the UK? Out of the UK? In the EU? Out of the EU? Using the Pound? Using the Euro? Using their own currency?

No business in their right mind would invest in Scotland for the foreseeable future (and the future isn't very foreseeable, which puts businesses off).

Have you read my location? My country voted remain too... but then we number a whole lot fewer than probably Yorkshire and Cornwall / Devon put together. I don't have figures and just using those counties for illustration purposes.

I don't know why we need to 'prep' either.

I'll continue doing as I've always done - buying stuff when it's half price or BOGOF.
