My forecast is 64% turnout
Remain 58% Leave 42%Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -
a bit racist really a bit like anyone but the english
but if you wink its OK
I was quoting someone else's sarcasm, with a wink to show it wasn't taken seriously by Shakey ( ie me ). Sheesh. Calm down petal. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

But when I became aware of the attitude of some of the Scots, now I too boo both Scotland and Scottish teams, but what is really annoying is that they have brought me down to their petty level of racism, I should be better than that, but unfortunately I struggled to continue my sympathies.
I wouldn't worry too much about it. The chances of you being able to sit at home 'racially' booing Scotland in a major footballing tournament is extremely rare these days. And lets face it, it's only football.. Hardly representative of every single Scot or Englishman/woman really is it. Most of us couldn't care less who wins.It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

By the way, I was in London today and the transport was carnage. It took me 2.5 hours to get home to zone 4 and this was at 3pm out of rush hour. I think a lot of people are not going to make the close of polls.0

It isn't only football though, is it!? Obviously I was aware of the 'football supporter's opinions, and at the time that didn't carry a lot of weight. But it was really drummed home to me when my Scottish girlfriend explained to me that although she (and most of her friends, who I had socialised with) obviously did not personally hate me, they did 'generically' hate the English. Are you denying that some Scots feel this way?Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -
nah, we'll just sit back and smile smugly when it all goes **** up! I give it a matter of weeks before the EU starts to make changes which impact on us even more....
In the event of remain, I predict that every change the EU makes for the next few months will be sensationalised and brexiteers will be outraged. In a few years time they'll go back to their regular lives not noticing most of these laws and ignorant of how many are made by the EU and how many by the UK. Just like 95% of people probably were five years ago before all this started.0 -
Some tosh was doing the rounds about how we could be like Switzerland because they have really high wages. There's alot of ignorance out there.
I say 58% remainLeft is never right but I always am.0 -
Based on currency and gambling markets, it's very likely remain:
£/$ and £/€ at higher level than yesterday's close (currently at $1.48 and €1.31).
Betfair odds on remain now 88%, up 10% from last night.0 -

As a Swiss friend of mine says "it's the Swiss banks that have all the money, not the Swiss".
Wages are high but the cost of living is proportionately expensive, oh and about 25% of the population are *whispers* not Swiss nationals...Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0 -
Just voted, seems like a large turnout in my polling station.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0
