Morning All
Happy Birthday PP
I'm not feeling too good this morning. Got a terrible pain in my neck and just feel out of sorts.
Made the first apple crumble of the year yesterday thanks to our neighbour giving us some bramleys - our tree's not doing anything this year
Really not with it today. It's taken nearly 2 hours to write this short bit.
I went out Saturday night with some old school friends. Didn't spend too much thankfully
Anyway, better get on with some work
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Morning all,
I promised myself I would not come on here till all the housework was done, I get back from the school run just after 8, and then had an hour and a half to do the house, have cleaned bathroom and kitchen, bleached loo, done a wash and hung it out, hoovered the house, mopped floors where needed, looked into DD's room and came out quick and shut the door  how do they make such mess ? I know what she will be doing this evening.
Roast beef and all the trimmings tonight, we should have had it yesterday, but went out for the day to a traditional farm day, which was great, lots of craft type stalls, old cars bikes etc, a fab day out, cost us £5 each to get in though
Off work today, not back till wed, so have the afternoon to please myself, have got to do an internet shop, and may mow the lawn, I have a huge grass area, so normally get OH to do it, will see how I feel.
Happy birthday to pen, have a great day.
Hugs to all

Brightish morning, sun is shining but a cool wind. A decent night sleep for a change, although I did have a funny dream at one point, involved OH missing a bus for a flight!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have guests for supper tomorrow night, so I have just got a loin of pork joint out of the freezer. Deciding whether to do a crumble, pie or lemon meringue........
Bed linen washed and dreid yesterday and have the towels in now, the linen basket is filling up rapidly too so guess I am going to spend some time in the laundry this week and then will have to tackle the ironing.........September grocery budget........trying for £80, not sure if I will make it though!!!!! I certainly did not last month, lost track of the final bill. Will do better this month honest.

Hello everyone,
Think things are finally going my way, after my wonderful win on Saturday (and DS at football, they are top of the league after the first 2 games!!!) my car has passed its MOT this morning, with no advisory notes, HURRAH!!!
Still looking for a new LO to replace the one that has started school, so if my luck is changing, hopefully i will get some calls soon.
Did have to go to the doctors this morning, for a blood test, will get the results tomorrow when i go to see my consultant, im hoping they will let me go 6 months before going up again this time, so fingers crossed my levels will be nice and high.
Right, off to play cars with the baby,
Have a lovely day everyone,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Thanks for all the birthday wishes:o
Young girl is here with her baby and I'm having kittens:eek:     The baby is 4 weeks old and is in a body sling thing whilst she is doing the jobs for me. I have just placed an ad on Freecycle for a baby bouncer, so she can place the baby in there (if she wishes) and take her wherever she goes in the house. Im just concerned about something dropping on her head. She is doing a grand job though and is singing nursery rhymes to the baby...its quite soothing listening to her:D
Window cleaner has just been and [STRIKE]stolen[/STRIKE] charged £9. I wouldnt mind, but we are in a smallish 2 bed semi.
One of the hospital visits has been put off till tomorrow:T ..so Im happy about that.
OH has hung washing out but looks like it could rain soon. The car has been dropped to the garage and we now have a naff one in our drive.
Hugs to all.

Happy Birthday Penny-pincher :j bet you never thought you were going to be soothed with nursery rhymes on your birthday, you must still be a spring chicken after all
its a cold wind here, i put my gloves on when i took the boys to school, have done the ironing, will clear out more of the diningroom and might pick some more apples
kyle has been putting LP records on ebay for me, dont expect them to make much, they are all from the 60s, shadows, ventures etc but better than throwing them out, the rest i will freecycle
hugs to scuzz and everyone xx0 -
Morning everyone
Back from my travels. Had a marvellous time, eaten and drank far too much, so I think Frogga needs to pm me this weight loss program you all seem to be on, I certainly need to start losing some. Putting myself on a wine ration program, no more until the weekend (away in the 'van again   ). Washing machine/TDgoing overtime (well I don't have a line as never been at home when its daylight/dry for years!) Talking with DH as to where we can put one.
Birthday wishes Pen-Pin and anyone else missed in the last 3 weeks, I am still a youngster at 56, so you must be at 33, my head says so anyway (the body doesn't seem to agree!)
Had no broadband last night when I got back, but think I have resolved it now (work hadn't paid the bill!).
((((hugs)))) as needed, don't think I can read back 3 weeks. Off to empty more of the 'van and then re-pack for next weekend.
Take care

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Afternoon all,
Didn't manage to post yesterday...logged on at 12.03am so figured that I was too late and too early IYKWIM!
Still haven't weighed in for weight loss...feel lighter but not sure why as I haven't been a model participant!
Three machine loads of clothes to be hung out in a minute, LR to tidy and maybe hoover...think it might be ok once its tidy. Was away all day yesterday so OH seems to have done a marvellous job of making a mess all on his own!
Went to see the new house my friend has moved into...lovely little 2 bed semi detached bungalow with nice little garden...no flowers and she won't do any gardening either! She has been very lucky to get this for €500 per month plus bills...now I just have to persuade her to do a budget and stick to it...when she has the baby she may get some help with the rent but she will still need to be careful...her company don't pay maternity pay so she will just have statutory SW amount of €280 per week which is not much as she needs to keep her car going to be able to return to work after maternity leave.
Met an old friend by chance when we went for lunch so had afternoon tea with her and a great chat...she will keep an eye on friend for me which is great...I wouldn't have asked her but she offered. Then we visited a friend of Akiko's who lives even further west...almost into Galway, lovely lady. All of which meant that we didn't get home until after 10.30, but DD4 and DGS2 and I had a lovely day. OH was still watching US Open tennis when I got home, I got fed up after two sets, OH fell asleep but I assume that Federer won.
Need to sand and start painting unit which I am going to put in kitchen, hate painting but OH is not great either...he seems to be able to sit and watch tv all day without going mad...can't do it myself, not too bad if I'm knitting but otherwise very boring! Talking of knitting ordered € 50 worth of wool from www.kempswoolshop.com on Saturday, think that it was Hester gave the advice they certainly have great variety...my postage is high as it depends on Zone...they have a chart...hope that this will see me through Christmas presents and baby knitting ...two due in December and February that I know of !
Have a great day everyone, especially PenPin:bdaycake: have a good day...don't worry about that baby, people who use those kind of slings seem to be able to 'operate' them very well, I'm sure that I would lose the baby the first time I took a step!
Hugs to Anniestar, Queenie and all in need
