Os Daily Monday 10th Sept

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for xx (add date). This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Havent been around since last thursday as i have had trouble with the computer, trying to sort out a wireless thingy !!!!! anyway it didnt work so im not trying again till the weekend !!!!!

hope everyone is well, sorry if ive missed anyones birthdays ect

the weather here over the last week has been lovely, the grass has been cut and some of the weeds sorted.

Im going into Chichester shopping today.

Frogga... i have lost a pound !!!!!!! im pleased as i only started on friday.
im going to make a sugarfree jelly in a mo and prepare dinner for later otherwise i will get in from the shops and grab anything that will fit in my mouth !!!!!!.. how is everyone else doing ?

I watched that programme " Dinner Party " last night... what a load of rubbish i thought, i kept waiting for it to get better but it didnt, loads of good stars in it, but a load of carp !!!!!!! did anyone else think the same ?

OMG..... i can hear it raining outside !!!!!!! hope its only a passing shower. i might go outside and smell the rain !!!!

Aime that's BRILLIANT , well done on your great start. I haven't weighed yet and wont do until OCt 1st. I cant cope with weighing every week so I leave it until the 1st of the month so I can see a bigger jump! Everyone else is doing really well:T

Morning. :j All the kids go back to school today, so back to some sort of normality. I still need to get them some black school shorts. I could not find any at all. Everywhere was sold out. It always amazes me how the stores stock a range of colours for school, when if they did a little research they would know that all school in the area use black. So all the red and blue are left on the shelves....
Same with Asda, loads of stupid grey cardigans left in their store and no local school uses them. Anything that is used was sold out in July. Stupid shops.

Work today. Back in my home town, so no more long journeys to work. I can even take the kids to college, so save a bundle in bus fares too.

3 months till my USA...megaholiday So now it's time to start to think about that more as the summer is fading.... Good all the holidaymakers are going and we can take back our roads...

well nearly back to normal dd goes back to school today so I only have ds1 at home his next day at college is on thursday and hopefully find out how many/which days he will be going
need to pay some bills and do some banking today and then get invites and start sorting out for dd's birthday next week
need to do some housework but ds1 can help not sure whats for dinner

Thanks for the birthday wishes:D ...I cant believe Im 33:eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: ...am I now officially and old woman????? Nothing much planned for today as Im being taken out on Friday & Saturday with friends;)

WM has just finished and needs hanging out. DW also needs emptying and toilet scrubbed. My new helper starts this morning and I am hoping that it will work out fine. She has decided to take the ironing home with her and drop off tomorrow, which is fine by me:p

I have 2 hospital visits today and the car is going in to have the Turbo re-done. The car is only 10 months old and they were trying to get out of doing it as its an £800 job:rolleyes:....I politely pointed out that it has a full warranty for 3 years and that was the purpose of buying a new car so that we dont have to worry about faulty stuff. They accepted that after 3 more calls frm myself and I had looked through the finer legal small print. Then they tried to say that we would need to book the car in for 3 days and they wouldnt offer a courtesy car ....I asked how I was supposed to attend my hospital visits, take DD to school at 7.30am and other necessities (sp) with OH pushing me in the wheelchair and the meds I have to take with me everywhere:D .....they have agreed a car for the full duration. Damn right they will...cheeky !!!!!!s....its their fault on the car, not ours!!

Anyway, I must go as I need a brew and something to eat. Hugs to all.

Got lots to do this morning, the weekend just flew by, and today have loads to sort out, Bills to pay, food shopping to do although i think i will just pick up what i need for today and then i can make meal plan and shop properly tommorow.
I am having new stairs carpet fitted on friday so need to confirm fitting times and get carpet tiles up from the hallway, cant belive im finally getting a stairs carpet after living here for 3.5 years!!!!!LOL

Been a long time since I was on the first page

Was supposed to be going to PLASA today for work, but OH had a real funny turn last night cause of the tablets he's taking so we are going to the doctors instead today. However. I have no way of contacting our lift so am waiting for him to arrive to tell him not to bother

Other than that, not too much else planned. I don't know how long we will be in the doctors. Spent vrtually the whole weekend at carboot salees and am now the proud owner of 3 Kenwood Chefs (which are going to go in the paper ). Got some other great bits and pieces as well, and we hung our first picture up in the house yesterday :j. That's always a good sign that its home.

Woke up feeling a bit out of sorts, but no idea why Going to see DGD later, she is now four weeks old, and her face changes every time I see her - she's becoming a little person, and not a baby IFKWIM. DS birthday today, strange to think he will have had a card 'to Daddy'

Weather wet and windy this morning, so really looking Autumnal.

Well done Aimee on the weight loss, we go to Florida in three weeks, so no point in trying to lose weight until we get back :rolleyes:

Flying visit from me, of to work in 5mins.

Thanks to Aussielass, who pm'd me some good advice re the lodger/bank account/internet etc.
I've been up since 5, took hubby to the station, made 3 apple crumbles for the freezer, no idea what I'm doing for tea, but I'm defrosting some chicken portions, I'll decide what to do with them when I get home.
I have 3 more parcels to post today, so thats a few more £££ in the bank account.

Good Morning all!

CLoudy outside here today so far. DH is moaning that he'll have to take a coat!

Hester, I was going to make a suggestion re: your lodger and internet yesterday but I thought you'd heard enough from me.

I'm hoping that the kars will come today and I can make all the chutneys I have planned this week. Other than that, nothing else is planned............
