opticians round 2 done... I need £1500 next week to cover everything I have to pay .. if anyone is feeling generous?? With school uniform and shoes (they've grown a full shoe size since easter!) bills, 4 pairs of glasses and that's before we get to buying food!

Cuppa and then food cooking I think.

    Afternoon all
The wedding dress sounds gorgeous CY I'm glad you had a good day seeing it all together and its safely delivered. Really looking forward to the photos.

Just got soaked at the end of the school fete, the heavens opened up and we had full thunder and lightning.
Took 10 bags to the CS this morning 8 weeks books (see I'm still on paper ATB) and 2 bags of bric-à-brac. Some broken metal bits got left out for the scrapman and a couple of bits in the food bank. My house is still full.

Slowly plodding on with jobs here. Grooming Zack took a lot longer than I thought. Then half way through vacuuming the livingroom he comes wandering in from the yard looking sad with the volleyball he's been chasing around in his mouth...only it was wedged on his teeth  He'd managed to puncture it with both his top and lower teeth. I was thinking it was going to be a trip to the vets but I managed to get some air out of it by damaging the valve and then work it gently off his teeth. I don't think he's done any damage to himself but he's much quieter.

I was going to start the towel washes but the throws from the sofas need to be done more urgently. So they're next in.

the lenses are free and you can get some free frames but they are utterly vile and at 15 and 17 I can't do that to them, they aren't label freaks but they have always been told they have to wear them so to 'get the ones you are happy wearing'.. Squeaks and Dots are £10 each.. DS3's are £100 and DD3's are £90 .. but it will be about £90 for the girls shoes.. Pixie has grown an inch in a month!!!

Oh Pigpen I feel your pain. I know where you are coming from, glasses now are a lot more trendy than they used to be but some of the free frames are pretty dire. DS2 needs clothes and shoes but I am hoping that his school shoes literally stay in one piece until the end of term. Seriously wondering whether school would bend the rules if I sent him in some other footwear for the last week or two. Probably not.

Nicki I dropped an apricot stone on the floor before and the dog went to sniff it. He doesnt do "drop it" very well but thankfully he decided not to try and swallow it. Glad Zack is OK.

Sheets to put back on our bed then thats about it for today. Very tired. Have to take DS2 to cricket tomorrow but I might not stay to watch. Lots of cleaning and tidying to do.

I'm debating whether to take DD shopping in town after school instead of tomorrow. At least then her bus pass will be valid, and I can walk there, meeting her somewhere and then just pay one lot of bus fare home for me. We can hit the closer shops tomorrow while we also get the weekly shop in. She also needs to get ex a gift as its his birthday a week on Monday. As it currently stands, except for work on Thursday I provisionally have nothing else on this week which has to be done on a specific date.

Anyway, I'm rambling now so I'm off to bed.

    Morning all.

CY - sounds so exciting about the wedding dress.
Nicki - glad Zack is ok. When we had SickDog, she managed to wedge one of those meat filled bones in her mouth and had to be 'put under' to get it off at the vet.

So I have already been up for an hour, have sorted out all the indoor flowers and plants (got loads when OldDog died) and am just having breakfast.

    Today:
    WUDUPA
    Gym
    Bath
    Walk dog
    Hoover/sweep/mop through
    Dye DD's hair
    Gardening
    Afternoon out

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.

    Good Morning All,

Lovely and sunny here already. I have the WM on, I've put a load of clean laundry away and the littlies are having brekkie. Today's plans are fairly limited - some admin this morning, pop into Next and Dunelm, then try to galvanise myself to list some bits on eBay. DH is home later and I have a couple of jobs for him to do.

Really looking forward to the tennis starting tomorrow.

CY - Wonderful news about the dress, I bet you were bursting with pride.
Piggers - shoe prices make my eyes water. We need to kit DD out for when she starts Reception in September, the uniform list is so extensive I am fretting already about the cost.

Right, I must slurp this tea then make some brekkie for myself.

    Have lovely days all xx
