richdeniro wrote: »Hi All,
I currently have a TV deal which is due to expire at the beginning of August so was going to hit the live chat and see what I could get. Currently I am paying the following:
1. Line Rental at £14.99 for 10 months active until 30/10/2017
2. Broadband Fibre Unlimited at £10 for 12 months active until 29/12/2017
3. HD Sports Pack free for 10 months active until 3/8/2017
4. Box Sets, Sports and Cinema for £25 for 10 months active until 3/8/2017
Any advice as to what I should be looking for? I have been a customer with this package for 2 years now.0 -

Has anyone got any advice on what to say to get the price down?
We have the Variety Bundle, Sky Sports, Sky Go and Multiscreen which costs £72 monthly.
I pay for internet separately which is another £32
Despite not really being competitive my current internet provider won't budge on price so I would like to get my TV and Internet rolled into one package for less total money. We havebeen with sky for many years and looking around it seems like they are ripping us off a bit...0 -

Just cancel it and hold out for 75% discount and £100 credit. You most probably will get that if you're prepared for the TV to go off for a week or 2.
There's always NowTV if you can't get the price you want.0 -

Then they offered to do my TV and Internet for just under £70 a month which I think represents about a 40% discount on their advertised prices? (and would save me £34 a month, so not bad) But they wanted me to tie in contract for 18 months.
They also wouldn't give me time to think about it by saving the offer on my account, apparently "all offers are only valid at the point of call".
Then they tried offering me lower prices but for downgrades packages.
I have been a loyal customer for so many years and they will basically barely match what other providers offer as standard. I have cancelled and I will see what happens now.0 -

If they're there then try online chat and quote them and get the BB discounted. If you hold out you'll possible get some credit applied too.0 -

Now Tv is the route i'm considering if i don't get the deal i want.
May i ask, can you buy 2 smart boxes, i.e one for lounge and one for bedroom, and run them from the same account i,e if i buy a pass i can use them on both boxes and not have to buy a pass for each box?
Cheers0 -
What's the best way to get the broadband discount?
I was only paying £7.40 for broadband with no line rental - but this has expired now. My TV contract has expired, but I'm getting 60% off still to late August.
If I'm honest I'm not really interested in SKY TV anymore - BT are taking more and more and just want a good price on my broadband. Cheers0 -
