wow that's a great deal, exactly what I want!
any suggestions for what I can do? I cancelled last week but the best they have offered is 22 for entertainment and 11 for movies.
not sure what I should do next? no emails and nothing in "my offers" except for a link to the chat.
I have a few more weeks so I guess I will just wait?
Thanks!0 -
I just said I want to cancel, hardly use the box, which happens to be true, and can't afford it anymore, put me through to retentions,
They said if we try to entice you with an offer would I consider staying, said you can try but whatever the case want rid of multiroom, as have never used it and sport as hardly ever watch it and definitely kids, again true. Said would come back with both offer including sports in case I change my mind and without incase I don't, can't remember what he offered for the movies and sport combined but think it was £42/£43 or thereabouts, could of easily haggled, but decided to go without it, as was my original intention.
After a further offer without sports I explained the mydeal offer I know I will get if I cancel (Entertainment £15 etc, didn't mention movies),and would be happy around £25 mark above and after he did some sort of magic with the movies agreed on above although I may decide to haggle and get the sports back before the cooling off period as I know I may end up regretting it over the 18 months.
Best retention advisor I've had over the years, nice and easy, not too much back and forth and agreed to get rid of that £20 admin fee (crazy price) straight away.0 -
I've been offered the following on an 18 month contract.
Entertainment @ £22 - Normally £27
HD add on @ £1 - Normally £5
Sports in HD @ £15 - Normally £30
Q Multiscreen (UHD) @ £13
Broadband Superfast @ £27 - Normally £32
Free Hub 4.2
Free Delivery
Total monthly cost - £78
Sky Q 2TB box and Q Mini box - £50 one off cost
I asked for the £50 to be waived and to match my current monthly cost of £69 and they said no! I'm hoping they have a change of heart.
I have put in the cancellation notice and may move to BT as they have a great deal on for £54.99 at the moment for the 4K deal and broadband0 -

Thanks for this! So you got this deal by talking to the retention people. I think I will wait and then next week give them a call.
I am not very "charismatic" though lol. Last time I cancelled with BT to try to get them to be more flexible on price, and they said "No". I ended up having to switch to sky! ha ha.0 -
I also get a very good deal with BT for broadband and phone each year, ring directly through to the win back team, last deal I accepted was 18 months at £25.99 (which is very good for BT service, obviously cheaper from a few lesser companies) for infinity 1 and basic telephone (weekend calls free).
Try the Sky retention team on Saturday afternoon, the advisor told me it had been very quiet all day with only a few taking deals, so maybe that swayed him to give me a good deal as I was adamant I would cancel (you have to have every intention of doing this which in my case I was happy to do) and wait for mydeal or do without which I have done in the past.0 -
Had a call from Sky yesterday
Entertainment
box sets
cinema
sports
kids
sky q experience
2tb sky q box (50 one off fee)
all came to £74 a month including superfast bb
not bad but still a little too much.0 -
Went back on the chat using the sky.com/mydeal link. Was offered the full package with my current 2TB HD box for £40 a couple weeks ago, £35 if i dropped the movies. Agreed the following today:
18 months contract.
Here is your package summary:
Sky Entertainment Pack @ £27.00 pm (with offer £15 pm)
Sky Kids Pack @ £5.00 pm (with offer £1 pm)
Sky Box Set Pack @ £5.00 pm (with offer £1 pm)
Sky HD Pack @ £5.00 pm (with offer £1 pm)
Sports Pack in HD @ £30.00 pm (with offer £13 pm)
So your total monthly cost with Sky's Exclusive deal will be £31 for 18 months and thereafter £72.00 per month.
Initially with a £10 admin fee but I quoted the following text on the 'mydeal' page:
"Live Chat is available 7am to 11 pm. 7 days a week. We are currently experiencing issues with our online journey, a re-contracting admin fee will not be chargeable."
He quickly waived the admin fee. Pretty happy as I was previously £38.20 for the full package. Dropping movies essentially equates to £5pm so im effectively cheaper then previous! :j :T :beer:0 -
Managed to negotiate Entertainment Pack alongside Sky Sports HD for £24 a month
18 month contract
Also waived admin fee thanks to poster above.0 -
