as you will probably be moving out in the next 12 months, maybe it is best to get a BT/openreach line.
As least you should be able to move the package else where.
Were as if your new place doesn't have virgin media you will have to pay the remainer of the contract
Good point re: moving and taking VM with us, although I am reasonably confident that wherever we move to will have VM but I wasn't aware that if it didn't we would be liable to pay out the remainder of our contract!
If I can take their existing deal without starting another contract, that maybe the best way to go, am sure some have mentioned on here that they've got new deals via retentions without having to sign on for another 12 months or whatever.0 -
Recently they did offer me 2 prices
One starting a new contract the other not.
Although I wouldn't trust the bxxxards into claiming it was a new contract.0 -
Oops just cancelled my contract, can i cancel the cancellation?
I've given 30day notice, being made redundant so was hoping to get a better deal, but seems I can't.0 -

Sorry to hear you are being made redundant.
Yes you can cancel the cancellation before the 30 days is up. However, wait to see if they call you to make you a better offer first (give it a few weeks), as the best offers are always made after you submit your cancellation.0 -
Gave my notice last Wednesday. They rang this morning.
Offered:
50MB with phone line - £20
100MB with phone - £25
Both had line rental included. I took the 100mb, very good value I think.0 -
Almost 3 weeks now and still not had a call back. I think I've been forgotten, so I'm looking at alternatives in earnest now.0

That's just broadband and phone.
I'm sure basic TV wouldn't be a whole lot more though.
Thanks for your reply.
I have 100Mbps, Player TV (M), and Weekend Telephone with Telephone Line Rental for £20 per month, but the deal is due to end in the next few months, so just trying to get an idea what I'm likely to be offered.0 -

You could always call and say you think you may have missed a call from Virgin as you don’t recognise the number? Or be up front and call Retentions and ask them to get outbound to give you a call back.0
