That appears to be a genuine VM outbound team. There can be a crossover from putting a cancellation in, renewing and retentions contacting you.victor2 said:

As the OP has already renewed there is no need to call anyway and their online account should show the status of the account.1 -

I'm on Volt 250 with landline, paying £26p/m. Contract ending early September. I called a couple of weeks ago and was offered £35 which, obviously I declined. I called again today and said if I couldn't get a decent deal I'd probably cancel and go with a local fibre company which would work out at about the same I'm paying now. They came back with an offer of just over £19... I snapped the guys hand off.1

I've started the ball rolling on my cancellation. I moved our contract into my name recently and had a bill credit for 3 months to give approx the same price as before the change. That's expiring so need to get a decent deal for next 18 months.
Had a call from retentions within a day and although the offers were better than cancellations, nothing really good. We have been on an exchange only line forever but BT (well contractor) pulled fibre through 2 weeks ago so in the near future we can actually get high speed fibre BB from someone other than Virgin and I have told Virgin this.
apparently as I'm already an O2 customer they cant do any bundles equivalent to new customer deals which include a sim card although could do the same price. Was hoping for an O2 sim card that I can either give to me child or cancel in the 14 day cooling off period to effectively get a discount
Best offer was probably Mega Volt (minus O2 sim card) for about £70
Going to get a call back this week and I'll try to get something better.0 -
What's the issue with TNT sports? Seems now its very expensive0

I'm currently on M250 broadband only, was paying £20 per month which had risen to £21.76 with a price increase. Contract is about to end and go up to £51.76 per month, I called to renew and keep everything the same and there best price was £41 so I have put in my cancellation.
What sort of price are you looking at for M250 or M500 only these days?0 -
This was a new customer deal a few days ago for M250. £30.50 per month but after bill credit and cash back worked out around £23.61.chiefcrust1983 said:I'm currently on M250 broadband only, was paying £20 per month which had risen to £21.76 with a price increase. I would say low £20s for 250 similar to what you had before
