He also said can't double speed it's normally a price reduction or double not both
What a joke

Going to call again and just contine the cancellation as I got 14 days cooling from taking the offer and see how low they can go
Any idea on where it roughly should.be plz??0 -

My previous renewal was expiring. It was going to go over £50, was paying 24.40 (multiple discounts had been applied). Have been with them since since March 2021 after a decade or so if a hiatus.
Used the online chat, was a bot first, then a human.
Renewed at £25 as it's only a small increase until the dreaded annual mid-contract rise comes in in April 2025. Didn't go through to full cancellation, maybe a few more pounds saving would have been possible then.
Think when I looked first at what they were offering for a renewal via my account, it was £27 or so.
Threatening with full cancellation (as you did) gets you greater discounts (congrats on getting it down to £27), I just didn't have the heart or motivation to follow through as the offer I was given was acceptable to me.0 -

If I had more options where I live (Virgin are the only one to provide this or faster speeds), I'd happily go with another provider but my options based on the postcode are limited (and I rely on the internet for work as well as personal use).0 -
After another call manged to get it down to £23.94 a month including the increase in RPI for 125 so that should double to 250 with volt

Sorted this out for £22 a month
M125 with volt double as mum as 02 but it doesn't say it is volted, but speediest shows 268mb
This £20 deal was actually emailed 2 me but I missed it hence why the rep said he could bring the price down hahah

Until recently was on:
Maxit TV (2 x V6 boxes)
250 mb BB
Talk Weekends
2 x WiFi pods
for £51 per month. At the end of the 18 month contract it shot up to £89 per month.
Called them up and didn't get any sensible offers so gave 30 days notice. I missed a call a couple of days later and received no further calls, but got an email offering:
Mega TV (2 x V6 boxes)
350 mb BB
Weekend Chatter
2 x WiFi pods
for £44 per month.
I called them up a week before cut off to accept this and confirmed that this will not be subject to any price rise until April 2025.
From the contract it looks like it is actually £34 per month plus £10 extra for the two WiFi pods, which can be cancelled with 30 days notice without affecting the contract as they are "add ons".
I am now wondering whether it might be worth buying a mesh system and cancelling the WiFi pods. Anyone else have any experience doing this, good or bad?

I wasn't going to pay them an extortionate amount for getting WiFi where I needed it in my fairly ordinary house. Instead, I bought a decent Asus router (with Mesh capability if I needed it), put the VM hub into modem only and immediately got coverage all over my house, without any need for a Mesh setup. The Asus router stands next to the Virgin hub. Plus I now own a decent router, rather than paying somebody else a monthly fee and having nothing at the end of it all.
