Player bundle due to go to £51 from the new customer £27 offer.
Was offered it at £42 initially, told them I could go back to any of the providers through my BT line for about £25 a month including phone line (I don't use the landline or Virgin TV box).
She spent ages typing in what I was telling her before I went to retentions. Straight off the bat offer of £31 a month, which I'm happy with.

Should be interesting in 12 months with FTTP coming in my area & 5G, let's see what Three price the latter up at..

Similar here. £31 seems to be typical price.

£29 player bundle (Basic TV 110 Channels / 100 BB and Weekend Calls) due to go up in July to about £48.

Got £35 a month with a £50 credit for 12 months. Works out £30.84. Which is about the same as new customer offer. £29+£25 setup Fee.

Bundle changed name to big bundle:

    100BB
    Line and Weekend Calls
    TV MIXIT

I called went to cancel, guy didn't even try and said he had no offers, but put me through to retentions who offered above.

    Currently have:
    - Mix TV
    - M100
    - Weekend Calls

Have gone out of contract and is now up to £58.50

Seen same package online for new customers for £29 (Big Bundle)

Waited to speak with Virgin (45min) - first person told me this was only for new customers and that i would need to speak to someone else for a better deal.

After being on hold was then offered £43 - they were unwilling offer anywhere near the new customer price even when looking to down grade elements.

What happened to option 5. Tried going through to retentions but options stop at 4. You then go through to their customer service. Anyone any idea how you can still get through to retentions.

From what I recall, you have to wade through the options to get to the "thinking of leaving" one, which will get you a human. That person will tell you there's nothing better they can offer, so you say you want to cancel and they put you through to "cancellations", who then can offer you something a bit better. To improve on that you have to decline the offer and say you want to cancel anyway. Then wait/hope for the call back with a satisfactory offer.
You cannot call retentions directly AFAIK.

Well on trying again I did get through to retentions via option 5. They have offered me 200mb, Phone (never used) booster for broadband and the mix tv package for £69.00 a month. However I am not tied into a contract and can ring them any time for any other offers that me be available.

Also I did say about just having the broadband only with no phone and tv and that would have cost us £47.00 a month.

Just called up to change my elderly mums package or cancel depending on deal. I got the cockiest, rudest most horrible retentions guy and so we cancelled the lot. She had M TV and M broadband and also anytime landline and mobile calls. She doesn't watch the TV at all as the box keeps breaking (they have been out 5 times and still not fixed it!) So we wanted to cancel the tv and keep broadband and phone. They would only discount it to 49 a month when new customers could get it for 36. So we cancelled and mum is switching over to Vodafone. She uses the phone a lot but the broadband if for her sending emails to her pals and her playing scrabble. The guy was so rude to me that I am glad we cancelled just out of principal.
