Sunday already! DP got up at 7 am and started a big stew off in the slow cooker. We went out for a walk for an hour, just locally along the canal. I did quite a bit of cleaning and 3 loads of washing yesterday.

Just finished some ironing whilst watching Narcos on Netflix.

I've been keeping a spending diary and I'm going to start posting my weekly spends on here

    Monday - £5.80 postage costs
    Tuesday - NSD
    WeDnesday - NSD
    Thursday - £9.50 school photo
    Friday - £50.20 Aldi, £30 Petrol
    Saturday- £9.87 B & Q, £6.47 Tesco, £3.56 Morrisons, £50 DS school shoes
    Sunday - NSD

= £165 spend for the week

DS shoes have pushed it up. Hopefully next week will be less. 9 days till payday!
  • Good idea Louby, and keeps you accountable too!

Busy day at work, Mondays are staff meeting night so it's always a late one. Didn't get home till 5.30. Left overs for tea. I had chicken curry and DP had stew. DS went out for his tea with his friends! There we are eating leftovers and I end up giving him £10 to go towards a meal!

If I hadn't got any kids I would be rich. :rotfl:

Car booked in for MOT next Tuesday, fingers crossed it passes!

DP says we're out on Friday as it's our third anniversary since we met!
  • Loving that you're eating leftovers whilst DS is dining out Louby... kids! :rotfl: Id definitely be more rich with no kids in tow... although I was definitely more frivolous before they came along! xx

Can't believe I haven't been on here since Monday! The days are just whizzing by!

Quite a spendy week so far. Hair appointment on Tuesday which was £37, then realised we'd run out of ink so had to order that at £25, but did get 12% TopCashback and 25% off.

Hopefully today will be a NSD.

Bit of a boring weekend as we have both felt rotten with colds. We did go out for a curry on Friday which was lovely. We were home by 8pm though.

    Spends for this week are..
Monday ~ £10 to my son
    Tuesday ~ £37 hair
    Wed ~ £25.92 printer ink
    Thur ~ NSD (8)
    Fri ~ £22 curry
    Sat ~ £40.52 Aldi. £9.04 Morrisons
    Sun ~ NSD (9)
    Total = £144.48

Payday on Wednesday, I’m overdrawn a bit on my bills account so need to get that down but it’s with First Direct so the first £250 is free. Can’t understand how that’s happened so need to double check. My everyday spending account has £18 left in it so I’m impressed with that.

EDF tried to lower my Direct Debit by £6 but didn’t really see the point with that so asked them to keep it the same.

    Savings so far
    Christmas £400
    EF £100
    Future car bills £100

Really need to start building my EF up again.

Some of my surveys are getting close too now.

I need £8.90 to get £40 on One Poll
I need 925 to reach 5,000 and a £50 payout on You Gov
I need £14.25 to get to £25 payout on Opinium

Ive got £5.85 in PA and £6 in Pinecone. Pinecone sent me some cereal bars to test which was good. And I get £5 regularly every month from the Quotas Postal survey site. It soon mounts up. I just keep throwing it at my CC.

I’ve emailed Panelbase because they keep chucking me out.
  • I think you're doing extremely well Louby. And good to keep yourself right and accountable by posting weekly expenditure, might start doing the same actually.

    Hope you're feeling better soon.

Well my car passed its MOT - phew, it’s always a relief when it passes.

I’ve paid £100 towards a health spa I regularly stay at during Feb half term, me and my 2 cousins plus a friend have gone every year for the past 10 years, we actually missed this year because of varying circumstances but we’ve booked for next February so the deposit needed paying. It’s a great couple of days away.

We’ve been eating out of the freezer all week, left over chilli, pasta and cottage pie - we now have our cupboard full of plastic tubs again too.

Payday came and everything got sorted and paid. I’ve even paid for my car insurance in FULL for the year AND earnt myself £50 TopCashback too. I’m waiting for £70 to clear through TopCashback too from changing energy companies. So with that and a few surveys paying out I’m looking at £210 payout - not bad. Just need to be patient whilst it all slowly comes to fruition.

    Friday tomorrow. Yay!
