  • Fantastic on the cashback. You're becoming a fantastic example of how to box clever with cash.
  • Yay to the car passing Louby :T

Can't beleive it's Sunday again! Another busy week at work and a weekend filled with washing, ironing, cleaning and shopping! Not to mention some school work!

Seem to have spent loads this week...
    Mon- NSD (10)
    Tues - £60 car MOT/ light fixed
    £100 deposit for spa
    Wed - NSD (11)
    Thur - £6 Morrisons
    £6 Boots
£2.50 lottery (don't normally do it but found £2 in my pocket0
    Fri - NSD (12)
    Sat - £48.31 Aldi
    £30 Petrol
    £4.32 Morrisons
    £3.87 Home Bargains
    Sun - NSD (13)
    = £261 in total.

Big spends but spa and car were budgeted for! Also proud to have paid for my car insurance in full. I used my £100 car budget savings and another £120 saved. Seemed silly to save for things and then not use it.

My aim is to pay as much as I can up front by next summer.

Not been on here for a week. Mad crazy at work plus I’ve been ill with a really heavy cold and cough. I’ve felt truly rotten. Feeling a bit better today so hopefully it’s on it’s way out.

Quite a low spend week this week

    Mon - NSD (2)
    Tues - NSD (3)
    Wed - NSD (4)
Thur - £2.80 text book for my son
£18 bracelet - money goes to Cancer Research
    Fri - £25 meal & drinks
    Sat - £ 51.52 Aldi
    £ 15 Farmfoods
    £2.07 Morrisons
    Sun - £4.44 Tesco
    £ 1.56 Cardfactory

    = £120.39 in total

I’m also gutted that I can’t go on my health spa weekend. It’s been booked for the half term (that we though was the same) for my cousins School in Yorkshire, she works in School admin. My half term is the following week so I won’t be able to go. I’m so disappointed. The other 3 ladies can all go so it makes sense for me to bow out. They will either fill my space with another friend or ill get my money back. In 10 years our half terms have always been the same.

The only positive is I’m a £100 richer.

Not much else happening. Looking forward to half term and a couple of days in London. 2 weeks to go
  • Sorry that you've missed out on your spa day. What a shame the half terms are different. 2 weeks to go...

That’s pants about the spa trip - could you treat yourself to a couple of treatments at home somewhere?

Speky no I’m a bit overdrawn on my bill account so I shall put it in there.

Lots going on with work, our new head is shaking things up and it’s causing a lot of stress. Many of us are missing our old headteacher very much.

I aren’t opposed to change at all and think it’s a good thing but it’s the way things are being done and the atmosphere it creates that’s difficult. I’ve taught at my school for 16 years which says a lot about what a great place it is to work. I’m just under 12 years from retirement and have no desire to move schools - it’s 5 minutes from where I live in a lovely rural setting.

But I know others are keeping their ears and eyes on the job websites!
  • Hope things improve Louby. Seems like you're taking work in your stride which I find is often the best approach as opposed to digging your heels in. Hope things improve for others as a bad atmosphere can soon have a huge difference.
  • That must be tough, day to day if others are feeling stressed. There's a lot to be said for being close to your place of work.
