Spent the last 2 days at school sorting out my classroom. It was very daunting at first but once I got stuck in it all fell into place. My mum came to help as I had a load of laminating and cutting out to do. Worked both days 8.30 - 1.30 and it's more or less done now.

The caretaker/handyman is putting some shelves up for me tomorrow so I'll go in Thursday just to tidy up a bit more. I do enjoy making my classroom nice for the kids. A lot of effort and thought goes into many classrooms up and down the country - don't think many parents appreciate the time it takes to prepare resources.

Other than being in school I haven't done much. Nipped to get petrol, bread and washing liquid from Morrisons this afternoon so a small spend. Just been for a walk and got my 10k step target.

I plan on going back to the gym from August - I've missed it loads! Payday tomorrow!!

Payday today - everything has been allocated in YNAB and of course now I feel poor....even though I aren't!

I have to take my son to the local uniform shop for a new blazer, plus he needs shirts, his school trousers and shoes are ok though so that's good.

The boys are off to Crete with their dad for a week towards the end of the holidays and DP and I are off to Cornwall so I need some money for that. I get paid whilst we're away so all good.

The weather this morning was awful but it's brightened up a bit now. I've done some ironing earlier and also spent an hour doing some school stuff. Also been out for a brisk walk to try and get some steps in, it's so warm out.

Today is NSD 15 so I've reached my target and may even surpass it as we still have a few days left in July.

    Go me!:j

Speky I love allocating my £ into YNAB. July went a bit pear shaped as I wasn't as strict with my spending as I normally am because of my kitchen.

But now I'm back on it and feel much more in control.

I've been back into school today for a couple of hours, I was hoping our handyman had put me some shelves up so that I could do my final tidying up but he hadn't quite finished them so I'm going to have to go back in at some point.

Went to the hairdressers this afternoon for a colour, so feel much better for that. £24 spend though but I walk out with it wet.

Hoping I can stay within my budget throughout August. Not going to give myself a NSD target for August as I'm going on holiday and for days out but will keep #12 in mind!

Spendy day today! £54 in Aldi, £4 in Morrisons, £10 cash to put into DPs daughters birthday card and £50 on school uniform.

Hopefully that will be it for a few days now.

2 NSD and a total of 16 for July. I'm out with friends tomorrow for a meal so it will be a spendy day!

Nice day at home. DP tidied up the garage and now it looks great. Sorted out some stuff to take to the charity shop, about a million CDs. a third of which were empty!

No Sunday lunch today as no one ever eats eat (except me and DP). I've done a bit of school work (really need to switch off) and watched some TV.

    Wow the 1st August already!

Really good night last night, met up with 3 school friends who I've known for a very long time. We sadly lost a friend in awful circumstances recently and have been determined to see more of each other! We went for a curry and I spent £20 which isn't too bad - makes a difference when you're driving!

I'm back to the gym today - haven't been for 2 months after my operation so should be interesting. Booked into a spin class that I know can be tough! I'm actually looking forward to it!

All DD have gone out and I have £500 left for food etc for the month! Hoping it stretches!

NSD 2! Really determined to keep spending to a minimum until we go on holiday on the 25th.

Spin class was good, didn't go mad but still worked. I've been to Zumba today which was a bit more strenuous on my tummy so did feel it when I got home. But all good.

Miserable and quite chilly here today, wish the weather would hurry up and improve. Spicy mince and rice for tea tonight - that should warm us up! :T
