Looking forward to my 3 days at school. Have felt very disconnected from work and need to go back to get my confidence back a bit.
And yes, I get another 6 weeks off afterwards. Certainly not complaining about that!0 -
10 NSD & 9 days to payday
Lazy Sunday today. Watched 2 episodes of the Handmaids Tale this morning - it's really good, don't know how I missed it really.
We decided not to buy or cook a roast today, my 2 boys rarely seem to eat it once it's plated up so today we made chicken fajitas- plated them up ready for them to eat when they were ready and in an hour they had disappeared!
I did a bit of ironing- no uniform though as my youngest sons school do an activity week on the last week of term. DP watched the Grand Prix and then we went out for a walk.
It's turned into a lovely day once the rain cleared.0 -
What's your target for NSD's then given you've 9 days till pay day?0
-
Speky I did 12 last month so I've set myself a target of 15 for July. Today is 11th NSD.
Gorgeous day here today. Went out for an hours walk this morning along the canal, there were loads of people about and it was only 10am.
I did some washing and pegged it out. And I spent the rest of the afternoon sitting in the garden reading. Tomorrow is my last sick day. Can't believe I've been off for 6 weeks.
Feeling really well though and ready to dip my toe in the water again - even if it is only for 3 days!0 -
Enjoy your last day today. It's been a while and I hope you still feel up to it when you get back to work. Remember and take things slowly.0

Ahh Speky thank you, you are so sweet. I'm going to be holed up in the library doing end of term assessments with my new class.
Felt very guilty being off especially as I'm moving classrooms (again) and lots of the staff, including my fabulous Teaching Assistant have been packing boxes, shifting furniture and stripping walls. I need to help at least a little bit.0 -
Good luck on returning to work Louby. Don't feel guilty, you've been off for a good reason.
You don't sound far off your NSD target. I need to get back into counting NSDs. Maybe that should be my August goal.
Have a good day.Chandelier.

Didn't manage a NSD today, needed to buy some fruit and bread, yogurts and salad. We eat loads of fruit in this house, it disappears so fast.
So, my salad is made for tomorrow- my bag is packed ready. I'm currently drinking a rum and Coke (don't normally drink in the week) but I'm hoping it helps me relax and sleep.
I'm really looking forward to going back to work - my job is very full on and it's part of who I am! I've missed the kids and my lovely colleagues0 -
How did your first day back go? In end of term mode myself. It's amazing how much time it takes to give out work and store resources etc.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

Time back at work has been ok, very mixed emotions. The student I had earlier in the year has covered my class (Y1) whilst I've been off sick, she got the Y2 job so they will be her class in September. I've taught these children from EYFS, so 2 years. She has made me feel sidelined, she has completely ignored the fact that it's still my name on the door and they are effectively my class until Friday.
She's opened presents addressed to the 'Year1 team' - whereas as personally I feel they should have been directed to me.
I'm trying to not be too precious about it but it's hard. I've been doing assessments with my new class so have been busy, Year 1 had a party this afternoon- even another colleague asked me why I wasn't invited.
I plan on spending ALL day with MY class tomorrow whether she likes it or not.
Moan over!0
