Going round in circles this morning and have now got myself a little upset because I should be able to find the answer...

But how much does a first class stamp and a large letter 1st class stamp cost?

feeling useless......and in need of someone to rescue me.

quite often its the small things that can send you totally over the edge.
Errant son was sorting out his van insurance on Sunday night :( which needed our driving license numbers and NIs but I really wanted OH to do it and he was not co operating. He did this admin last time back last year so he knew the procedure.
So because no one was co operating I went into melt down.
When I finished having a total explosive rant I realised all the info had been screen shot so I didn't need to go and look for anything, screen shots soon found and they did the job between them in the space of 5 mins ...

Beautiful day here in Somerset. Not cold!!
I had a busy weekend working on the marathon. On sunday got up at 4.00am and went to bed at 12.30am!
Was very tired yesterday and after lunch was meeting the kitchen company at the house. I suddenly developed a really bad pain in my back and felt sick. I was also going to loo a lot. Took painkillers and rested all afternoon. I went to visit DD in the evening to take her some food as we always have loads left and met OH there and persuaded him to take me to the local hospital. Turns out I have a severe kidney infection and am on strong antibiotics for 3 days. Feeling better today. Luckily not too busy at work.
New bathroom and boiler to be fitted next week ( my cost ) and I am chasing the drying company as things seem to be going slowly.

And after 3 days do you need to go and see your GP again - kidney infections are very bad

    :o

After my small moment of 'space' yesterday when I gave the fabric to Blessing bag lady...
I've now received 3 huge bags of LA fabric pieces from Mum :o

I've left them on arm chair so I am reminded that I need to sort them out ......
What I think I'll do is sort them out size wise & then cut them into 'charm packs' which I have discovered is the new word for patchwork pieces...
Then sell them to raise money for the cancer unit :)

You wouldn't believe how useless trying to find the cost of a stamp has made me feel.....
I have a parcel to send...I know the weight and the size which I guess is an achievement in itself with all the size restrictions they have these days.....I also have a loads of first and large letter stamps which I would like to use as part payment and all I wanted to do was work out the best combination of stamps that I could pre stick on and then add a few pence when I get to the PO...but could I easily find the prices....

All sorted now...and I'm having a cup of tea and an oreo egg!

Thats such a lovely idea Snap....I remember as a child making a patchwork quilt with my parents, brother and sister using hexagonal patches of some ancient LA fabrics that came from our Grans house ....Its something that's been tinkling round in my mind to do again perhaps not on such a large scale...maybe some cushion covers might be more achievable.

I will happily take a few sets from you for a worthwhile donation when you finally get something sorted,it would be a pleasure.

Yes they told me to come back if I got a fever or the shivers. I am seeing the nurse today to have my pneumonia jab ( cause of my TIA last year). I havent had a unrinary infection for ages.
Remember years ago when my son was between school and uni and he worked for an agency, They sent him to a cheese packing factory ( he lasted one day ), to a vanilla pod factory ( one day but he smelled lovely when he came home!) and then he did a job on a building site for my brother on one of the coldest days of the year ( one day again).
Made sure he studied hard at school and has a fab job, although he has been made redundant 2 times in last 5 years.
Hope he gets the job. Fingers crossed.
Got some extra jackets at the marathon last weekend and made nearly £200.00 on EBay yeaterday. Going into my new house fund!!

Hugs galore Snap for you, your sister and the whole family. Mum and dad not left out, a huge hug for each of them.

Don't feel that we're not interested, of course we are, because we care xx
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

After I did the charity walk at the beginning of March, two of my toenails (not the big ones thankfully) turned black  One has gradually just faded and now looks almost normal again but the other one hasn't. It has now got loose and I'm guessing will probably drop off soon _pale_ I am so not looking forward to this :o

Dont worry, once it drops off there will be a new one underneath. x
