There have been issues with the apgs/coupons ever since they changed their system.
If the apg does not scan, you could point out to the sa that it does say on the apg, where it states 'Checkout colleagues'......if voucher does not scan, process the value by using the manual coupon button.

I went to Ws again to try the pampers nappies this time as i have number 3 on the way. But they wouldn't accept the £6 off £30 voucher i had. I had planned the shop like this
    3x nappies £24
    2x squash £2
    Food mag £1.20
    Cappuccino £2.25
    Yoghurts £1
    The times £1.60
Total £32.05 before discounts. But she wouldn't take the coupon, said it had to be after discounts :-( Can you use the coupons on self service?

The perfume sets never made it to the B00ts 70% sale but looks like they have finally reduced them in Durham, worth looking elsewhere.

Afternoon all - we had sunshine, we had rain, we had huge wind gusts, we had icy cold and I think we also had a few more snow flakes but most of it started to melt away after 11 this morning ...

The sun and wind though did mean that the guest bed was stripped washed, line dried and back on the bed before lunch :D

Yes Kmet, I've used them on self service without any problem. Like you my total was just over £30 before discounts. Sounds like a jobsworth :rotfl:

I wonder if W are getting wise to this glitch ? I had a checkout guy tell me I hadn't spent enough to use the voucher - but when I said the total needed to be over £30 before discounts, he checked the receipt and took the coupon. He seemed quite happy once he saw my before discount total was over £30.

I think the coupons will scan fine (they don't seem to have fixed it at the tills) but some of them may take a little too much interest in the details and refuse to try.

Just been having an eye opening afternoon, the first time I've had a chance to go through the receipts for April.

We have had Errant son back in the fold now for a month and its felt most days like we are constantly food shopping and running out of basics, constantly prepping and cooking and constantly kitchen cleaning. The receipts are backing it up, food shopping is up about £60 - ie about 50% and still nearly a week to go of April.

I think we are going to have to go right back to the basics again, menu plans and bulk buying and totally from scratch cooking.

For instance one night this month OH and Errant had the free Birds Eye breaded chicken that were on COS and Errant complained that he was still hungry afterwards - I am having problems getting OH to accept that more veg is needed so I think I am going to have to insist on a 3rd veg even if its just some frozen green beans done in the microwave.
Tonight I've got the chicken and chizio pasta bake all prepared and ready to start cooking (a shop bought one we had one evening was another meal that was insufficient so it always has to be home made now) but I am going to do Errant son a side salad in a bowl as well.

I've also got jelly and fruit setting so he this and the left over rhubarb crumble so he can have 2 desserts to fill any gaps.

On Saturday when he got back from Wales he started with a bowl of mince and potatoes saved from Friday night dinner as a pre dinner snack and then went on to have a huge plate of salad straight afterwards. Double dinner apparently is a real thing

He sorts out his own breakfasts and lunches and late night supper plus various snacks in-between so thankfully its only dinner we have to concentrate on.

Not that we really mind doing this - cooking, shopping, cleaning but its just taking a bit of adjusting to, having had an empty nest for about 15 months (apart from a few weeks last summer and a few weekends and Christmas) - only cooking for ourselves and we had just about got the portion sizes right with very little left overs.

    :)

It looked easy - just sort through 3 bags of fabric pieces.... whilst watching old Silent Witnesses..

    izz6tu.jpg

Started with colour piles :) easy, but then I realised I needed to separate chintz from cotton, then huge pile of dress fabric, then I discover pre cut sample pieces, then a bag of different cut squares ...

    and I'm drowning :o:o:o

I will have to iron it all too
