We had roast turkey and stuffing balls on Easter Sunday, if there had been any pigs in blankets hanging around I would have snaffled them too. ;)

I did for a while - I had about 3 replacements due to faults so when the guarantee year ran out and they refused to replace it again I got a cheap version from Amazon, no problems since

    Morning all

We had quite a snow fall in the night, white over at one this morning. Still on the lawns now, the sort of snow that it crunchy to walk on - very freaky with blossom on the trees.
but still quite windy, bright blue sky and sun shining so its melting fast

All 3 cats are still in and they are a good indicator of temperature

day 6 of the tickly cough but the throat seems better and less raw this morning, just a streaming cold now as if its moved up the nasal passages :(

Other than that I have a quiet house today as Errant son got a days work today in a packing factory, they rang him after 5 last night so he had to decide on the spot- he is going to loathe it.
I am fuming at him as he has an interview on Wednesday and he would have bern driving down there late this afternoon. Instead now he is going to be doing the 4 hour drive in the morning

Oh even said we would give him the days pay if he cancelled but by the time he announced this it was nearly 6 and too late to cancel :(

    good morning all....

Bright but cold here today and I will need to venture out later.....was hoping there might be a few snow pics but I guess its all dispersing as quickly as it arrived.

I am pleased to report the edam has finally all gone...actually we found the last few times a bit of a chore but my goodness it was certainly value for money(even if we had paid for it).
The last bit was used on pizza and actually it was really nice...must have been a good month out of date too!

  • Good morning all, glorious sunshine at the moment but got down to -1.2 last night

In one of my old jobs I had control of the stationery cupboard, even my bosses couldn't access it without my permission :D

Well, I have a change of plan today, but a rather useful one, my friend can't make our normal Tuesday trip so that has been changed to Thursday, so I can paint today and get a second coat on tomorrow, which means I will be ahead of the game with the kitchen decorating (unless OH produces a job that requires my assistance).

Ahh, stationery room battles, I remember them well... like the time the guy in charge of it was so fed up of people in one very busy department asking for the odd pen that he went round and issued about 6 to each person, and was told off because the manager should have been The One to give out pens...
