Just popped in quickly, looking for mhoc

mhoc if you are here I've got something to tell you that might, and I say just might explain errant sons bite.

I remember years ago moving some clothing that had sat folded up undisturbed for several months. When I went to move them a spider scuttled out. Between the clothes there was a web, so it must have been living there.

Spiders do bite by the way.

Just wondered if as you said earlier his bed hadn't been changed, it's possible that a spider took up residence  makes me go tingly at the thought now :o

Actually a biting spider could very well have been the cause - its an old house and we do have very fine specimens of giant spider lurking about the place.
As well as the undisturbed bed there are very deep boxes with folded up clothing I washed and put away summer 2015 so if Errant son has been delving into them in search of a t shirt he may well have found a lurking spider ready for a snack :D

I did offer Errant son j cloths and cleaning fluid and suggested that he might like to wipe down all of the metal surfaces, corners and crevices
in and around his bed. I also gave him the vacuum and crevice tool and suggested that he vacuumed both sides and all edges of his mattress as he was convinced whatever had bitten him was in the bedding. Needless to say he declined.

His bedding he put in the machine on Sunday morning but only after some nagging did he switch the machine on on Sunday afternoon and more nagging to get him to put the sheets out on the line where they stayed until Monday afternoon and more nagging ....
I class nagging as when I need to remind someone 3 times or more to do something they are perfectly capable of doing unassisted
    Deep sigh

So, the secret is out, I am a soap fan :o

I've watched Emmerdale since it started but half the cast I do not like and think the writers come up with such carp. I've lived in villages but ong, never known one that has so many criminally involved who actually get away with it.

And another thing, who remembers when Chas was going to marry what his name, one of the Kings? She ripped him off for thousands of pounds. What did he do, go to the police? No. Get the money from her? No. He patted her on the back and she went and bought into the pub    that would never happen in real life of course

LEJC after reading in tv mag, apparently Peter left a message on simon's mobile at the time of the attack, claiming he has to leave town. Desperate to stop his son hearing it he smashes the phone but the message is eventually restored to simon's new mobile.

    And so it continues....

I've just received an email saying the complaint email I sent to Virgin Trains Customer Support, which they then told me to forward to Virgin Trains Customer Relations, has been forwarded to Virgin Trains East Coast Customer Services. I can't help feeling the service might be improved if they employed less people in Customer Service and more people on the trains!!

so Virgin trains have at three different Customer services/relationship/complaints departments but on the website only one email address is stated so customers have no idea who to address complaints to and end up being passed from one to the other.
I think I would be livid at this stage and using snail mail to complain about this confusion plus the original complaint - the idea of using email is that its instant and immediate and problems can be resolved very quickly but there is no point to using email if it just means your complaint gets passed around without even bring read :(

mhoc, i never knew that spiders, not the ones in our country did bite but I read it somewhere. Mr AJ always picks spiders up in his bare hand  and I repeated, no, nagged the fact to be careful as they bite. He would never listen until he had cause to pick one up in the kitchen, a yelp and a flicking movement of his arm was enough to tell me he had infact been bitten

Ill remember that about nagging when my OH moves back! Regarding Trailfinders my sister used them to travel to South America some years ago and I think it went quite well. But it was a long time ago. My sister has a flat in Nice and I have been to St Tropez a few times so I would recommend the South of France for a Villa. And remember Tesco Rewards for Eurotunnel or Eurostar.
I agree about how adventurous children are these days. My DD travelled around Thailand for a month on her own 7 years ago and DS went around the world on his own when he was 19. DS and his wife have been to Iceland, Bahamas, Usa to name a few in the last few years. And they are going to Montenegro in a few weeks with the baba staying an Airbnb! Love reading your updates I sure it helps that you can vent on here about it!!
Been to the house to meet the plumber today to quote me for the bathroom and boiler and he went into loft and said other tank has a very high water level which is something the Dynorod emergency plumber should have picked up on. Still if I have a new boiler all the tanks will go. He cut off the water feed to the tanks and just left the mains on.
Meeting builder in 20 minutes to let him in to remove the kitchen . Stressfull but exciting times. I slept much better last night!

Blimey Sarah...thank you for going to so much trouble to keep me informed.

It really does come to something when I need the tv magazines to explain in detail the plots of soaps to me!

I think part of the confusion also happens when an actor from one suddenly pops up in another as a totally different character...I suspect this is about to happen in Corrie where Daniels mum returns...after playing a role in Emmerdale recently!
