I need a little help with one of the "first world" problems I have....
Coronation Street...I clearly missed a crucial episode last week that I'm guessing is going to be pivotal in the plot over the next few weeks.
Ken has obviously been pushed down the stairs...do we as viewers know who did it ....or is this all part of the tedious plot to reveal the perpetrator in the next few weeks?
....and why is Peter so insistent to get Simon's phone back and then destroy it....?
I'm not sure when soaps became so fast moving that one or 2 episodes can prove so game changing ...but I'm starting to wonder if the land of soap is no longer for me ....I just can't keep up....
and on that note I'm also fed up of hearing the announcment at the end of the Enders asking anyone who has been affected but the events in the episode to consider the helpline.....you know what....sometimes I just want to watch something gentle on the TV.
...and with that I will get off my soapbox!
Unless I blinked (or fell asleep ) we don't know who did it. I don't think he fell down the stairs or was pushed, he got bashed on the head at the foot of the stairs.
Simons phone, I have no ideaxx

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs to the poorly Elite and low in spirit, you're in my thoughts xx
See you later, Im Dog sitting today as DS3 is off work on Jury duties  xxThere's no place like home

Thanks AJ....At least I now know that everyone has to endure the tedious "who done it"....not just me!
Sometimes soaps are very good at highlighting issues....but then other times they just come across as if the script writers think that the general public are all gun wielding, drug pushing individuals who settle an argument with physical force and as much drama as they can muster.

you probably already know this but I've just found a way to turn those One4all cards into a far more useful 'currency' (at least for those who shop at Waitrose a lot)
This morning I bought a £20 gift card at John Lewis with 2 of the tenner One4all cards. No problems doing it at all.
So now I have a much more useful £20 JL gift card that, as we all know, can be used in Waitrose
Reesult!
Reeeeeeesult indeed! nice one!
shame they don't take them directly in Waitys...which is strange as they are the same group as JL!"He that lieth down with dogs shall rise up with fleas" Benjamin Franklin

Morning all - very windy and gusty outside but the sun seems to be breaking through the haze so Ive risked bed stripping, probably by the time the load has finished it will be raining again ...
2nd cup of tea whilst I catch up
Errant son is trying to be invisible this morning, mostly skulking in his bedroom except for a few runs up and down stairs to use the bathroom and then he went outside to take a phone call in the field - he always goes down the field to take calls even before he left home.
I knew though that hunger would get the better of him so he has been down and put the kettle on ....
Reading back and catching up ...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Morning all hope everyone's well.
Thinking of everyone who is troubled xx
So my problem continues this morning iykwim so I've now got to ring work again and tell them I won't be back for another 48 hours which means I won't be back tomorrow as I had previously stated. Gutted that this is mucking up my perfect sickness record. Was going to apply for new jobs as loads of pressure at work due to staff leaving and no time for the training I need. This absence won't look good on applications. At least I'm getting a thorough MOT lol xx
It does seem to be lingering on, its really worrying when you get these non specific viruses which just need to run their course but take forever to settle ...
I was just remembering a few years back to that very hot Easter we had and everyone went down with the very bad S&D very rapidly. Literally we went to the tool hire place that saturday morning to get a post placer to put a fence in, hours later we were flat out on the sofa. OH had it far worse but at least his was over in 4 days but I had the long and lingering slow burn version.
I carried crystalline ginger with me for weeks and weeks - going to the hairdressers 3 weeks later and you have to put your head back in the sink, OMG I felt so dizzy and queasy ...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Been for my CnC - lovely and sunny but a very cold blustery wind.
It's the 3rd time I've been to the drive-through one, the first time they automatically loaded the shopping into the car for me, but the last one and today they just stood there with their crates, so I must have been spoilt the first time.
Nipped into shop for a lighter - the packaging tells me it is 85% child-proof... bit odd.
Soaps - I don't follow them at all - gave up on Coronation St when the car went into the canal.
So it's just mhoc's saga for me... awaiting next instalment ...“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0 -
I heard from lady fostering dear Emily today and she is doing really well. I am hoping to visit them on Thursday or Friday to see set up and how Emily is getting on. She is already getting on fine with lady's other two Rommies and her cats, and has her own bed filled with toys :j
Night Night all
really pleased that Emily has her forever home, such a sweet dog she just needed so much walking but I think she will soon settle in“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0
