It's the 3rd time I've been to the drive-through one, the first time they automatically loaded the shopping into the car for me, but the last one and today they just stood there with their crates, so I must have been spoilt the first time.
Nipped into shop for a lighter - the packaging tells me it is 85% child-proof... bit odd.
Soaps - I don't follow them at all - gave up on Coronation St when the car went into the canal.
So it's just mhoc's saga for me... awaiting next instalment ...
Yes sadly we did have a loud exchange of views last night which is why he is eating his cornflakes in his bedroom today and ignoring me - Oh well at least the house is staying tidy this morning“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Good morning everyone
My 5K nectar points from my Viking order yesterday morning have been awarded already:j:j:j
Re Coronation Street, no we didn't see who hit Ken. With regards to Peter and Simon's phone I've no idea!0 -

Wow, very impressive - it was well worth contesting it. It just goes to show that sometimes we just have to grow backbones and write the complaint letter, send the annoyed email etc - the worst that can happen is that they can say no but its still worth the effort.
Eldest child and her OH stayed in a hotel for their wedding night, same one as for their engagement night but the service they got was far worse plus numerous other niggly problems.
We said to her that she really needs to write a complaint letter but I don't think she has yet. I am thinking that if I write one for her and send it as an attachment for her to proof read and improve on - she is usually good at this sort of thing herself. Then she print off and send or I would do it for her - Ok it wont improve what has already happened but even so the letter needs to be written...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Please can I ask has anyone ever used trailfinders and any observations or opinions?
Eldest child is thinking of using them to book the honeymoon“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

There's an advert for Airwick VIPoo.
It's a pre-poo toilet spray to keep nasty smells in your bowl😷
Is that for real?
They used to do an after flush foam that was antibacterial and an air freshener, it was brilliant for the en-suite but I can't get it any more0 -
Also eldest child and her new OH they are thinking of booking a villa in France next year - going down via Eurostar and I suppose hiring a car when they get there.
The idea is that their LA friends would fly across and the 4 of them would meet up, nice French villa with a pool I presume, lots of driving about and exploring and nice food and vineyards etc
Any suggestions as to which areas of France which might be suitable or companies they might use - I am assuming each element would be booked separately and Eldest child is incredibly good at organising this sort of thing.
Deep sigh - they are on such a different level to us - it makes our little Premier Inn and Groupon deal weekends and the odd cruise up a Norwegian fjord seem very pedestrian ...
Also its the difference it makes starting with 2 years of 6th form, 4 years of uni resulting in 2 degrees and then a career and an income which already far exceeds ours ...
Mind you I was always a scared mouse so I don't think I could have managed anything like what they have achieved in my 20s“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
you probably already know this but I've just found a way to turn those One4all cards into a far more useful 'currency' (at least for those who shop at Waitrose a lot)
This morning I bought a £20 gift card at John Lewis with 2 of the tenner One4all cards. No problems doing it at all.
So now I have a much more useful £20 JL gift card that, as we all know, can be used in Waitrose
Reesult!
Thanks RedFox. I so need a Waitrose near me!0
