Oh and eldest child had a fab time at the concert last night. It finished at 10 though, seems very early to me, is that a normal finishing time now because of licensing laws etc ....
Another consequence of a flurry of online shops last week is the resulting flurry of customer service surveys asking about your shopping experience - Ive won gift vouchers twice with these sort of surveys that clog up your inbox so i am compelled now to completing them But its another reason for cutting back on online shops so you dont end up with a mass of surveys to complete :rotfl:
3 Ebay parcels to wrestle with this morning followed by SIPP reading and completing and then surveys ....“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Talking about chasing people up, some stations disappeared off our virgin box before we argued with them to get the price down. I hadn't had chance to mention it to OH (we don't use the box much) so he didn't know when he phoned them. I tried asking about it on the forums, but the girl from Virgin that I was communicating with claimed it was because we had downgraded the TV, when I mentioned it was BEFORE that I heard nothing back, so now I have snaggled an email address off ceoemail website and emailed them. If I hear nothing from them I shall have to write to them snail mail, their customer service facilities are atroscious
Once we come to the end of this contract there is a good chance we will not need to keep the landline anymore, so we shall tell them where to stuff it. We have been with them from day one and we are now treated like dirt, so we will be moving.
Good luck in finding a contract that is cheaper without a landline. DS2 is moving out with GF and they can't find anything for fast broadband and TV that is cheaper without a landline.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. But we have the advantage that we do not need the TV, we have freeview and freesat, and now they have taken Sky and Syfy off us (plus whatever else thy nicked) we will be used to not having them. So we will be looking for purely broadband, and we are close to the exchange and the closest cabinet has fibre. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

Good morning all...
I haven't had chance to read back yet...but I will at some point.
The end part of last week and the weekend have been incredibly busy....in a productive and good way but I'm actually shattered and now feel that I need a week off to recover.
I have no idea if we are being sane or totally reckless but at the back end of the week we viewed a small house in what started as a conversation along the lines of "it could be interesting..."
It was .....and somewhere between then and now we have put in an offer.....
Each time we buy a new rental I say no more....but there is something about this place that is a little niche and with some work it could be a gem of a place.....
Anyway on to other matters....frugal March is going well....currently using up a gift card so not actually adding to the spend in physical money....reduction time yesterday at T produced enough meat for the week so its only going to be add on's as we go through to Saturday.
Toiletries....there have been 4 in....nothing I have paid for....a deo and a face serum to test and 2 face masks from somewhere as part of the first 1000 applicants.
On the out's there have been 7.....a full sized body oil,a full sized hair repair product, deodorant, clarins boost sample, aveeno body lotion sample, a treat sized body lotion and a small perfume tester.
Here's hoping for a good week for all.....xfrugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!
2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend0
