    A query

Eldest son paid his fine and sent off his driving liscense to DVLA with the form.
This has come back this morning - the card and also the form
So is that it - just seems peculiar that they sent the form back as well.

I cant see anything different with his driving lisense card - at least on the old fashioned paper lisense it was typed in what your points were and when they were added.
I am assuming that he has 3 points but is there any way of checking?
Also how long do they stay on your driving lisense - I seem to think that is varies now according to the offense.

2 other things bother me. Firstly his signature on his card looks like a signature but on the form its just a swirl - he is getting too idle now to even bother doing his signature

Secondly overprinted on his photo at the front it says 29.10.2018 - this is also the 4b date and on the back it says October 18
Is this the date he needs to renew his photo?
I thought the photos lasted 10 years or did I just make that up?

On the card it says 4a 18.04.2015 - I seem to think he did his driver training in 2011 - part of his army training he did the intensive course

    Any clues anyone?

As far as I'm aware if the offence committed occurred before the 1st of March this year, it's 2 years. Anything after that stays on your licence for a minimum of 4 years now and is added as a code on the back on the back of the card licence. Also licences are dated from provisionals. So if he applied for his provisional in 2008, it would expire in 2018 even if it's been upgraded to a full licence in the duration. Hope that makes sense!

    Morning

But we have the advantage that we do not need the TV, we have freeview and freesat, and now they have taken Sky and Syfy off us (plus whatever else thy nicked) we will be used to not having them. So we will be looking for purely broadband, and we are close to the exchange and the closest cabinet has fibre.

That is odd. The only channel that virgin can't provide is Sky Atlantic. Every other channel is available. I don't see how they can drop channels mid contract.

    Tenth Anniversary
    Afternoon peeps. :)

    Talking of cheese. ^^

I went A's earlier and found some more of their own cheese that was reduced a couple of weeks ago due to size change. I bought some on Friday and it was 90p, today I found 8 more in the chiller reduced section, but when at the till they went through at £1,80. Neddless to say, they got left behind. :(

Also, the new sizes of their packs are dearer per Kilo than a lot of other cheeses out there. Cheeky B's.

I suspect it was at the end of the contract, but we received no notification, and no notification of a rise in price before the end of the contract either - both items dealt with in the email, and in the ensuing snail mail if necessary.

    Good afternoon Elite :hello:

It's been a pleasant morning here so far, cloudy but bright and no wind or rain

Didn't get an early start this morning as I woke during the early hours and couldn't get back to sleep. Alarm went off at 7.30am, I turned it off and went back to sleep :o. Mr AJ thinks he's doing me a favour leaving me sleeping bless him  I had planned on going out early today but can't be bothered now :rotfl: :rotfl:

My kitchen cupboards and pan drawer have been under attack  DS4 looking to set him and DGF up in their flat. I had offered various Pyrex stuff that I have too many of e.g. 3 large mixing bowls, from my days of baking many Christmas cakes. They are having one as DGF loves to bake. My vast collection of glasses has been reduced too, not by many as they are concerned about storage space :T. Very well thought out :)

I'm still sticking to clearing my stash of face creams, lotions and potions. These have mainly been one use sachet size, apart from night cream, they are in jars  I will be adding this to my signature, promise xx
