That's lovely mhoc, why haven't you gone as Well?

Good question - its a dad and daughter outing in advance of his big birthday :D
Elbow is very much OHs thing and its his first concert :D

Also I think its a bit of an experiment in getting OH out of his comfort zone - if I tried to organise such a trip then he would find all sorts of reasons why he could not do it
    - when I sort out weekends/midweek breaks/lopsided breaks I always have to do it as a total surprise as well - getting him away from work is getting more and more difficult

    I say these things too!

I have lived in Birmingham longer than I lived in Liverpool, but I still have an accent. It gets more pronounced when I am cross. DS1 was laughing at the dog the other week. He said she must have done something really naughty, cos I was shouting at her in a Liverpool accent!

I have got cross with the SA In Asda today. I am not proud of myself. It is irritating when you spend the time getting the correct items for a coupon and the till says 'no'........ The guy on the till did not understand why I didn't want to buy the items if he wouldn't accept the coupons!........I went to Customer Services and got £4 refund.

Still feel guilty for getting cross. :(

Don t worry my only local Asda get me cross most times I go in there.

I haven't seen either film yet, mum asked me if I would take her!
Not sure I'd feel comfortable sitting in the cinema with my mum. :rotfl:

Talked her out of it and said we would see Sing instead. :D

no - nothing else organised as yet - eldest child is so good at organising stuff that whatever I do looks like a very poor second best ...
Well we have a big trip in the offing but that's not until August.
And he has a new Lenova tablet and I've got a SD card and cover - but these are things he has asked for

Its very difficult to squeeze any more into this month - 3 birthdays, anniversary, wedding week, 2 overnight guests, Mothering Sunday ...
but we could really do with a few days .

yes its a bit odd - I never have the house totally to myself in the evening - odd times OH is on call and he goes out for several hours but never overnight.

I have a fish pie for dinner, 3 cats to sort out, a bit of ebaying to do before Call the Midwife - nothing as exciting as the shenanigans going on in London :D

accents are a very peculiar thing.

With Irish parents we should have had broad accents but we just had standard English.
We lived an hour north of Birmingham - now if we go into shops in town etc everyone talks with a Birmingham accent - I've no idea how and when that happened, how the accent drifted north.

Eldest child was talking York within months of going up to uni and still reverts back to York as soon as she crosses the border :rotfl:

I have to say the films are rubbish, don't waste your time (although I may make some special purchases, I wonder if the dressing room could become a red room!!) :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I said this to OH and he went :eek::eek:

That is a heck of a lot to do, I don't think you have much time for special treats for OH x
