No ID necessary. You may need to get them to split the bills to use all vouchers. They are usually quite accommodating if you ask nicely.
PS SSM - Also Ed's in Nottm and Meadowhall.
I know I have been to both but paid full price.
I think I need to register two e-mails to each one x:D:D:D:D

To add to the Sipp conversation.
After reading info from Juju and Matty (thank you) and the pensions board I opened HL SIPP for OH putting in £2880 and leaving it in cash.
It was too late in this tax year for the £720 tax relief to be added before 5th April but I wanted to withdraw as much as possible this tax year to make use of his personal allowance as OH has retired 1 year early and has little or no income.
HL has a rule that requires you to leave a minimum of £1000 in a SIPP or they may close it. I called them to check how much I could withdraw this tax year and they said that it would be ok to withdraw £2600 leaving in £280 and they would not close account in the knowledge that the £720 tax relief would arrive in due course.
So pay in £2880, withdraw £2600 leaving £1000 in account once tax relief applied.
My understanding is that the scenario above only applies if you are not using up all of your personal allowance. I am, so have only done this for OH (although I believe there is still a small gain to be had even if you have to pay standard rate tax on the withdrawal)
As said earlier people must consider their own tax, income situations and seek their own assurances from HL.
I am just stating my own situation and am no expert.

Very informative post. Thanks for all this information. I am no expert also. You just have to keep reading!0 -

As you're in my area have you tried Wilco, he did our boiler last year Worcester and was really good both in price and the way in which he worked, dust sheets, cleaned up everywhere etc; worth a quote
Hope all the elite have a lovely Sunday I'm a long way out of the loop, real life, work etc but N keeps me up to date.
Thanks so much for this greenfinger. They are already on our list. Bless dh he has done a timetable with all the appointments as we are not sure which boiler is best for our property yet. What an exciting week - not! Think I would rather research sipps than boilers. My head is spinning with it all!0 -
BarleySugar wrote: »Yes that's right. The other thing that concerns me is that if you put in money from your savings, a SIPP is a pension fund so when you take some or all of it out it is surely treated as income ( although 25% is tax free). Savings are not taxed only the interest.
It's not quite as straightforward as it seems!
Yes BarleySugar anything you take out of your pension counts as income and goes towards your personal allowance along with all your other income.0 -
It's ok everyone thanks they have been moved to 1st class

Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

Absolutely livid, DS just texted to say his train was cancelled tonight from London (pre booked). He has got on the next one and him and his friends are having to sit on floor between carriages as train fully booked ??? It's about 3 and a half hours journey xx
At least he is on his way home xSerendipitious wrote: »I've just cooked roast chicken, roast potatoes and parsnips, enough for tomorrow and Tuesday.

Right this is my final post on sipps well tonight anyway. Couple of things I have thought of which might be useful to some of you.
I have been reading about pensions ever since the last budget when the rules changed and made them much more favourable. It might be a good idea for anyone who is not sure whether to take one out or not to make an appointment with Pension Wise. We did this and it helped with our plans a little. They weren't super speedy with offering an appointment and we had to wait just over 2 weeks. It is totally free but they do not give financial advice but obviously know the rules.
Secondly don't forget this coming tax year 17/18 saving interest is IN ADDITION to your personal allowance. So if you earn say 8k you can have up to £1000 in interest as well which is not counted in your personal allowance.
Hope some of the above information is useful.
By the end of the week we will have some other pension experts after all their reseraching TM HG and sweetsavy! With our combined knowledge we should find it all a breeze.0 -
I've come across a 200 Norwegian kroner worth almost £20 . Where is the best place to exchange it please anyone know.0
