OO that is a good question.
I had a big purge at the start of the week but it slowed to very little by Thursday, really I sould have been further along as the calender was clear this week and OH has been doing long days so there wasnt much in the way of distractions.
I was concerntrating on seeing what could be done with the toiletry stash so some odds and ends went on the fire, some plastics went into the recycling basket and Ive got one very big bag of assorted going into the food bank collection tommorow.
I think this might be a weekly rinse and repeat job.
The underwear drawer was also turned out again and another dozen are bagged and ready for the cloth recycling. I came to the conclusion this week that life is better with undies one size too big rather than one size too small
No more books have been listed on Amazon and none sold but Ive got 3 dresses listed on ebay which will hopefully kickstart me into more wardrobe sorting.
I also filled a bric a brac box for the charity shop on Tuesday - where we got for our free Neros 02 hot choc is right opposite a Heart Foundation shop so its ideal for dropping things off but mainly this shop has big shelves for bric a brac
And then apart from desk tidying thsts about it this week
Next week Ive got the big box of old statements to plough through and mostly shred - the same box that has been hanging about for months
More toiletry sorting and more bric a brac box filling as usual.
It feels a bit like nibbling around the edges but I keep thinking about the bigger picture and where we will be up to by this time next year.
There was a very funny bit on twitter a few days ago which badically said You might have kond'd every bit of your life but then you go to your parents and see they have hung onto every single tiny bit of your childhood - various photos of the biarrare things parents have hung onto eg the very first iphone with no charger, battery quite not dead etc ...
You are systematically going through things which is good, although emptying you pan draw several times is rather :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Loving the tip on knickers... I think I would fill a bigger size to quickly!
At least with the parents keeping your things, these must give them pleasure so this fits with the ethos. I keep the boys things in memory boxes, I have their first outfit, umbilical cord/clips etc.....
I tend to approach de-cluttering a little different....... I just do not buying things for (OH and me) until what we have is worn out and of no further use. I have told OH that his clothes will last him for the rest of his life..:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: as he tends to get hand me downs from the boys! I think my house would be nearly empty if it was not for getting things free/nearly free via the elite. :T:T:T:T:T:T100 -
Regarding ebay Ive been starting listings using the app on the ipad so I can do the title, photos and descriptions and I then save the draft to finish off on the msin computer, just to tidy up before listing.
On the ipad app though I cant set the timer thingy to delay the start of the auction, it just wizzes backwards again.
It also has the date wrong - apparently we are in 1970 sometime:D
Is there anything I can do about this?
on the ipad if I delay that start there is no extra fee but on the main computer there is - or have i got this wrong as well?
I schedule then providing i remember do it manually so if i want to list anything else i can even if not going to be hereSealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0 -

Yes the repeat redoing of the underwear drawer was something I"d not considered would be needed but I got larger than usual multi packs of underwear in the last sainsbobs sale so on the premise of 8 new ones into the dawer 8 old ones had to go hence the thoughts on sizing.
You can tell I am not sleeping well at night, all sorts of weird thoughts stray into your head at 2 in the morning :rotfl:Sunshinemummy wrote: »You are systematically going through things which is good, although emptying you pan draw several times is rather :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Now you know you cannot get away with making this statement, without giving us details.... does David Beckham feature in these thoughts? I rather like Gerrard Butler to be in my thoughts at that time in the morning! xI didnt mean stuff we will use i meant all the random crap we get as cheap or free:o
So do I..... even random stuff I am protective over... but smile sweetly and hand it over!

I try to put things in the charity bag which are still in reasonable condition so that the shop still might be able to make a sale out of it rather than keep wearing things until they are only fit for the rag bag.
So some things I am constantly on the look out for in sales eg underwear packs, white jeans, other jeans that actually fit in the leg length and sit nicely on the waist, plain t shirt, rain macs, nice floaty tops etc - then when something new comes in something else has to go out
The wardrobe with tops in Ive only had to organise once - all in colour order and sleeve length - its a total joy as it has never gone out of control. The really summery things are now folded up in an under the bed box - it was a really sad day, having to do this in January when we came back from the Canaries but in reality we wont see the sun again until August“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. It's been found now :j:jSerendipitious wrote: »Good afternoon.
This is a sad story about an amazing dress. But absolutely beautiful wedding photos and so natural.
