scamps1966 wrote: »Afternoon peeps.
I wass walking back from A's this morning when a man was putting 2 pictures out by his gate for anyone to collect. I asked him if I could have them and he said yes, so I carried them home with great difficulty as they are 38 inches square. Solid wood frame, glass fronted.
Not great photos but they are abstract art, autumn time.
I've tried finding them online but no luck. I've found something similar at a price of £180 each.
It was a very affluent house, but some people don't even think about reselling! I'm keeping them though.
Well done you:D they are lovely:T:T:TSealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0 -

It does seem they underestimated how popular it would be (or rather is - it is not new, it has been this rate for ages, so must have been the worst kept secret from muggles). They have spent all that money on extra advertising when they could have saved their money, put out the press release (new information is their commitment to this rate until April 2019 ) and relied on MSE and other sites to push it for free.

Martin talked about it on breakfast tv on Thursday saying you could get 3% on 2 accounts each with 3k in.
Mum explained this to me on Friday, as a viewer of daytime tv.
I've been telling her about it for over 6 months, not sure she listens to me..... :mad:curl girl with a space - even though there is no space in my cupboard!!!0 -
Does anyone recognise the company of the pics?
Just says Gallery. Experts in home decor. Abstract art. Batch number 0604. And then hanging instructions.0 -

OH said it used to be a named train going from Manchester to Euston
I really deeply love steam engines, something very elemental about them. I am not sure where this comes from, they were long gone by the time I was born.
When I came back from Stafford one afternoon last year the Empress of India (not certain of the name, cant find the photos now so I might have invented that) was on platform 12 getting fettled up and oddly there was not the usual gang of spotters handing around. So I got right up close, talked to the driver, took photos and eventually I waved them off, a one woman waving committee, all by myself when it set off again

The second best find of the day - the elusive Aldi cherry liquer chocs have finally been found :j
They were bought a few weeks before Christmas and then vanished without trace, the house has been searched numerous times.
So this afternoon I tried the wardrobe bottom again, tirfed everything out and found 2 new pairs of shoes still in their boxes - now on the ebaying pile.
No chocs
I looked sadly in the drinks drawer, a very large deep drawer at the bottom of the sideboard, OH is almost TT now hence the sadness looking in this drawerBut I did find beers to put in the fridge which he might fancy drinking.
No chocs
And then inspiration hit and I looked in a picnic basket used to store odds and ends - no idea why I thought this was a good place to hide them but at least they are found and we have Valentines weekend chocs:T
